Responsible for review & modification of existing sampling system and adding new sample cooler, conducting study on feasibility of increasing water-glycol circulating pump capacity to resolve operation problem and other such issues raised by Plant Operations based on MOC's (Management of Change) scope of work.
* Suncor Energy Inc. – Firebag Hot Bitumen Pipeline Project - Pipeline pumps station and facilities (EDS and detailed engineering design stages). Performed simulations to predict fluid properties, developed PFD / P&ID, performed process calculations, equipment sizing, pump calculation, prepared equipment and instrument data sheets, prepared engineering design specification (EDS) report, reviewed and checked vendor documents and supported HAZOP / Operability studies.

* Tehran Oil Refinery, Iran – Worked in atmospheric and vacuum distillation of crude oil and LPG recovery and separation units in the petroleum refinery. Distillation optimization for producing more distillate (using PRO-II and HYSYS). Assigned to different refinery process units such as Hydrocarcker, Reformer and Hydrogen Production units. Participated in the refinery regular overhaul programs.
* Turkmenbashi Refinery, Turkmenistan – Gasoline Production Unit. Performed detailed engineering design including developing PFD / P&ID, preparing equipment design specifications, hydraulic calculation, material requisition (MRQ & MRP) for chemicals / catalysts for UOP Licensed Units consisting of the Gas Concentration Unit, the Gasoline Merox Unit (24,000 bbl/day), the LPG Merox Unit (12,000 bbl/day) and the Amine Gas Treating & Regeneration Unit. Also supervised equipment installation and participated in pre-commissioning and commissioning activities during the construction phase of the plant.
* Korpeje Gas Pipeline / Facilities, Turkmenistan – Natural gas dehydration facilities and pipeline project. Performed pipeline hydraulic calculation (using PIPEPHASE), process simulations of gas condensate recovery / stabilization unit (using PRO-II), generated heat and material balances, developed PFD / P&ID and prepared equipment design specifications in the DBM, FEED and detailed engineering design phases of 8 MMSCMD (280 MMSCFD) sweet natural gas dehydration plant and gas condensate (NGL) recovery / stabilization unit together with the associated gas pipeline (140 km NPS 40 inches).
* Abadan Refinery, Iran – Refinery Expansion Project. Prepared tender document packages, evaluated proposals including Licensor selection, attended kick off meeting, PFD / P&ID review meetings and reviewed process design specification for following refinery units: kerosene/gasoil Hydrodesulfurisation, C5 / C6 Hydrotreater & Isomerization, hydrogen production, amine treating, nitrogen production, sulfur recovery plant, sour water stripper units.
* Arak Oil Refinery, Iran – 150,000 BPSD grassroots oil refinery construction project. Reviewed of the designed documents of the process equipment in the refinery units including crude oil distillations, Visbreaker, LPG recovery, Unifiner / CCR Platformer, Hydrocracker unit, hydrogen PSA production and amine gas treating, and participated in process and mechanical inspection of the major equipment such as pumps, fired heaters, heat exchangers, towers, vessels / drum, etc.
* Bandar Abbas Refinery, Iran – Refinery Expansion Project. Participated in feasibility study for refinery expansion and upgrading to process ultra heavy crude oil blended with Iranian heavy crude oil as a feedstock, debottlenecking existing capacity (230,000 BPSD), selecting optimum refining scheme, producing cleaner products to meet new environmental regulations, increasing refinery conversion and improving production efficiency.
