Working as a member of the Exploration Group (XPG), I was seconded to the Development Department (DD) to work the offshore Sabah Tembungo field for Sabah Operations (SBO-Asset). Geological work included detailed facies analysis of some 30 wells into a 3 dimensional framework, petrophysical analysis, biostratigraphic review, semi-regional sequence stratigraphic incorporation, and volumterics as part of a field development plan. Close work with the Team geophysicist insured that the 3D seismic interpretation was properly incorporated. A stochastic model, using Roxar's RMS software, was constructed to properly map the turbidite reservoir facies and calculate field volumetrics.
