Petroleum System Analyst

SUMMARY
Well established Petroleum Exploration and System Analyst with over 15 years of experience in the international petroleum industry combined with a PhD in Petroleum Geochemistry. Possess significant industry and academic expertise researching organic oils and source rocks using geologic and geochemical techniques and applying the results to petroleum exploration efforts and problem solving. In this work, utilized a wide range of hydrocarbon indicators based on distributions of: Gasoline ranges (C5-C7), Phenonthrenes, Benzothiphenes, Biomarkers, Normal and Iso-alkanes. Developed new technologies for oil/oil and oil/OM correlations, maturity evaluation and phase type prediction of hydrocarbons. Extensively used the distributions of biomarkers and sulphur aromatic compounds as indicators of depositional environments, source rock types, lithologies, age and biodegradation. Identified and characterized organic matter of source rocks using different techniques: TOC, Ro, Rock-Eval, Carbon Isotope Composition, Biomarker distributions. Performed basin modeling to estimate the time of oil generation, HC charge generation and volume(s), expulsion and migration phases, quality and risk.
For the past five years have worked extensively on the technical and economical evaluation of worldwide E&P projects by integrating geological and engineering datasets. These assignments pertained to basin and economic analyses. Specific expertise in the Caspian region, West Siberia, North Africa and North and Latin America.
