SKILLS
COMPLETION – Planned and wrote procedures for onshore oil and gas wells that are cased, open, vertical, horizontal and HPHT for completion, testing, sampling, and re-completion. Researched in silica compounds and successfully applied resulting chemicals and techniques to stop or reduce water-cuts. Designed innovative production and injection well downhole strings that minimised rig time, reduced cost and wellbore damage.
WORKOVER – Planned and wrote procedures and programs to perform workover, conventional and CTU stimulation, testing and diagnosis from shallow to 17,000 feet deep wells. Accomplished up to 150% increase in expected net oil by improved design and control of workover and kill fluid, effective filtering, rock stress modeling, optimised perforation, and improved combination of downhole equipment in re-completions and workovers.
DIAGNOSTICS – Conducted and analysed numerous pressure build up and drawdown tests in Western Canada, Northeast China, Southeast Turkey, and Libyan Sahara, by utilising STAR, and PAN System. Highly competent in PTA, Dynamometer Analysis, AWS, PAN System, WellFlo, and most related industry software and operating systems, taught clients and mentored junior engineers.
STIMULATION – Planned and wrote stimulation job programs with step-by-step procedures for most types of onshore oil and gas wells (cased/open/vertical/horizontal/HPHT) to be implemented by service rigs or coiled tubing units. Developed and applied extensive knowledge and expertise in cleanup, matrix, and selective multilayer acidizing and acid fracturing in limestone, dolomite, sandstone and composite formations.
PRODUCTION – Diagnosed problems and recommended workover, stimulation and/or remedial jobs on oil and gas fields in diverse locations. Worked in developing procedures, troubleshooting and mentoring local staff in sand management, wax and scale control, water shut-off, and various remedial job techniques. Designed and optimised downhole production string, artificial lift, and gathering and treating facilities. Gained expert knowledge in constructing tubing intake curves, IPR, Nodal Analysis, Artificial Lift design (SRP, PCP, and ESP), well intervention, abandonment, and conventional & coiled tubing stimulation techniques. Prepared AFE's, annual department budgets, service rig selection and scheduling. Called for tenders, prepared requisitions and evaluated bids. Utilised effective monitoring and de-bottlenecking to maintain and optimise production targets. Achieved 20% savings in field development budget by smart completion, minimised zone damage, and effective rig and coil tubing utilisation. Shared gained knowledge and lessons learned. Mentored subordinates and local staff.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT – Accomplished two long-term projects on time and under budget, by building task teams and coordinating design, planning, procurement, site-supervision, start-up, and commissioning. Assumed duties and responsibilities, at both engineering and managerial levels.
