Work Experience
1998 - 2003 Signa Engineering, Inc./ ExxonMobil
ExxonMobil - Venezuela - Drilled two shallow wells and completed in the Morichal area of Venezuela.
Signa Engineering - Supervised drilling and completion of old wells. Cut windows and drilled directional wells, and re-completed for various clients. Supervised drilling and completion of a 9,000’ well, worked over two others for client, between Yoakum and Victoria, Texas area.
Supervised work-over operations for client, Sabco Oil & Gas, in Corpus Christi Bay, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Worked on 35-40 year old wells, with communications between dual strings, re-built well heads, and did frac jobs on some wells.
1998 – 1998 New Tech Engineering
Drilling Supervisor for client, Equinox Oil Company.
Supervised the drilling of 7 wells in the inland waters of Washington Lake out of Port Sulphur, Louisiana. Wells were 3,000 fl. deep with H2S.
1988 - 1998 :
SCHLUMBERGER IPM, SANTA FE INTERNATIONAL, ENERGY TECHNICAL SERVICES, CANADIAN TRITON, GEMDRILL INTERNATIONAL, TRITON ENGINEERING.
Supervised the daily on site drilling, completion, workover and testing operations for Corpoven S.A. and Lagoven in the state of Monagas, Venezuela. Coordinated drilling operations along with client drilling superintendent for 2 to 3 drilling rigs. Client is now called PDVSA.
Wells drilled were high temperature, high pressure, and directional from 15,000'-18000' deep. All work was on 2-3000 hp drilling rigs.
1987- 1989 : Energy Resources and Mining, Inc., & Royal Dutch Shell
Supervised the onsite drilling operations for theses two companies. Countries worked in were South Africa and Gabon, Africa. Rigs were TBA, and 2000 hp.
Wells in South Africa were 10-13,000 ft. for Energy Resources and Mining, and wells for Shell Gabon were 3,000' deep in the Rabi Field.
1980-1986: ESSO EXPLORATION, INC. HOUSTON, TEXAS
Worked as company supervisor in exploration drilling operations all over the world. Work included drilling, completions and testing of 5-18,000 fl. wells both onshore and offshore. Supervised the construction of roads, runways, and drilling sites in remote locations of Africa.
OFFSHORE WORK was in the North Sea, Brazil, Ireland, & Ivory Coast, using conventionally anchored semi-submersibles, & drill ships that were dynamically positioned, turret mounted, and conventional type.
LAND WORK was in Thailand, Chad, & Spain using conventional TBA/SCR 2-3,000 hp rigs. Received extensive schooling involving engineering, well stripping & control, mud, and offshore survival.
