 I implemented better systems and methods (inventory, computer programs, etc.) to improved the performance and the logistics in the patio

- In charge of the acquisition of all materials and services (national, international and local.)
- Coordinate efficient and time/money saving delivery of material & service needs to all rigs.

- In charge of inventory control and all store/warehouse related activities.
- Coordinate all acquisitions, logistics and distribution of materials needed on the rig.
- In charge of the Labor Relations activities on board the rig (pre-payroll, attend labor problems of the workers, etc)
- In charge of all the administrative operations on board the rig expenses control, acquisition Planning, AFES, budget needs and control, etc.)
- During the upgrade made to the rig (from October ’96 till April ’97) in order to fulfill the operative / environmental requirements of British Petroleum (BP) for the Guarapiche exploratory Project, besides my normal responsibilities I was also in charge of all local buying, import/export Logistics supervision and establish an effective link between the rig and the dry dock.

- Implement and establish the company and operator HSE policies and standards on the rig.
- Create a HSE and H2S conciseness and awareness on all crews and work related parties on board.
- Risk management
- Prevent any environmental damage. (Control, prevention and correct disposal of generated waste materials, spills, filtration, etc.)
- Supervise sanitary and hygiene standards on board. (Galley, food handling and shipping, waste food disposal, caterers and cleaning crew performance, etc)
- Report all incidents, accidents and near misses on the rig.
- Control all Work & Safety Permits.
- Conduct weekly Fire, Abandon and H2S drills as well as safety meetings afterwards.
- Check, test and request all safety related equipment and devices to improve the standards and minimize risks.
- Prevent operational risks.
- Make safety guides, manuals & procedures, according to the outcoming operations.
- Present safety plans to the operator.
- Train personnel on board the rigs.
- Monitor and assist paramedic crew on board.
- Maintain sick bay operational.

1989–1991 Agencia Marítima de Representaciones (AGEMAR) Maracaibo, Edo. Zulia Maritime Agent / Logistics Coordinator (Tanker Vessels Division)
- Attend all service related needs and coordinate the logistic activities of loading/offloading vessels at the PDVSA Pto. Miranda y Bajo Grande docks.
- Coordinate the loading and offloading activities of materials at the chemical dry dock of the Petrochemical Complex of El Tablazo (Pequiven)
- Satisfy and coordinate all crew and work boat needs of the clients.
