Assistant plant operator for Eleme Petrochemicals, Port-Harcourt Nigeria. I worked in the polyethylene (PE)
manufacturing plant in the company and was involved with the finishing section. I was involved in the day to day
operations of the plant including observing and maintaining the correct tank levels, PE additives input and plant
housekeeping. I also worked in the control room and was responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of instrumentation in the section. I observed the importance of teamwork and the pressures a process/operations engineer faces each day in the plant.

Design &
Management Project: Worked on a project with civil engineering students to produce a fully scheduled and cost civil and process design proposal for the reconstruction and modification of the existing sewage treatment works for Severn Trent Water Ltd, Finham, UK. I was part of the team that designed the parameters for the structures and constructed a cash flow analysis for the project and a Gantt chart using Microsoft project.

Design project:    Worked in a team where a new plant was designed for the production of electricity from landfill gas and worked especially in the facilities for the leachate treatment. The project included designing the process equipment for the leachate treatment plant, specifying all materials of construction, stating the control philosophy of the plant and considering health, safety and environmental aspects of the project. I have learnt to conduct a hazard study for process designs, specify control systems and designing major process equipment.
