CURRENT ASSIGNMENT
From July 2004: Working as Plant Controller for Aban Power Co. Ltd., India for the commissioning, startup and operation of 120MW combined cycle power plant (GE 6FA gas turbine,168 TPH Thermax HRSG with supplementary firing and a 55MW Siemens Steam turbine)
Since July 2004 I was involved in the commissioning of a GE 6FA gas turbine in Aban Power Co. Ltd. I had assisted the GE field engineer in completion of erection, checking the completion of all system as per P&ID, carrying out precommisioning activities, Red flag review audits, Mechanical tests, Load tests etc.There after carried out the startup and operation of the Gas Turbine through mark-V control system.
At present I am involved in the startup and commissioning of the 168 tonnes per hr HRSG (supplied by Thermax-India) and a 55MW siemens steam turbine.

PREVIOUS ASSIGNMENTS:
(A) November 2003 to June 2004: Worked as Power Plant Foreman with Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Co. Sudan in 100 MW onshore Diesel Power Plant

(B) July 2000 to November 2003: Worked with Rolls Royce Industrial Power India Ltd.Kakinada AP for the O & M of a 208 MW combined cycle power plant in India consisting of 3 X 46 MW 251B11 Siemens Westinghouse gas turbines and a 70MW Parson's steam turbine.
Joined as Operations Engineer in July 2000 and promoted to plant control engineer in June 2002

Responsibilities:
1. Start up, Shut down, Routine and Emergency operation of power plant main equipments-Gas Turbines, HRSG, Steam Turbine and auxiliaries following "safe and standard operating procedures".
2. Isolation and Normalization of all above equipments for maintenance following "permit to work system".
3. Identification of faults, troubleshooting and liaising with maintenance department through "Computerised Maintenance Management System".
4. Electrical switching, isolations, normalization and load transfers ranging from 415 Volts to 220KV.
5. Daily monitoring of plant parameters, logging and shift reporting.
6. Calculation of Efficiency, Performance, Load factor, Heat rate etc.
7. Imparting training to new entrants and subordinates.
8. Preparation of Standard operating procedures.

(C)September 1998 to June 2000: Worked as Gas Turbine and Waste Heat Boiler Operator with Dubai Aluminum Co. Limited Dubai UAE in its captive power plant consisting of GE frame-5,9B and 9E gas turbines (total installed capacity of 1000MW).
Responsibilities: Field operation of gas turbine and waste heat boiler.

(C)July 1991 to August 1998: Worked as Junior Engineer (Operation) with Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board, India for the operation of 210mw X 4 coal fired thermal power plant.
I was inducted as a trainee, and after 15 months of classroom and on job training in operation of thermal power plant was given charge of operation of coal fired boiler, steam turbine and all its auxiliaries from control room.
