* Executive Officer and second in command of 800 ft. long, 100,000 tons deadweight oil tanker with a staff 24 (officers and ratings), a US $ 80 Million department.

* Holding the final responsibility for the maintenance of Life Saving & Fire Fighting Appliances: Lifeboats, life rafts, emergency signaling equipment.
* Planning and execution of emergency drills by injecting realism and encouraging interest from others: Abandon ship, fire, escape, emergency maneuvers, safety, pirate drills etc.
* Maintaining files on deck department purchase orders sent and received: Purchasing manager for deck department, hotel included.
* Tasks as required by the computerized Planned Maintenance System.
* Controlling and operating the company's Waste Management Plan: as per Intl. Maritime Organizations guidelines and flag state.
