Senior EHS Consultant, ALCOA EHS Services North America 2003 to 2004
* Facilitated optimization of EHS staffing by implementing a regional internal consulting organization which improved performance on EHS audits and reduced costs for personnel, training, and outside contractors.

* Developed and negotiated major NSR, PSD, and NESHAPS air permits for new surface coating lines, ingot casting operations, and natural gas cofire in a 750 MW coal-burning power plant. Successfully managed administrative challenges to regulatory and permitting actions.
* Participated in writing state regulations for coal sampling and analysis and obtained approval to use real-time nuclear analyzer to drive coal-blending facility, reducing fuel costs by $500,000 per year and improving environmental compliance.
