• Cost control for the Operational Expenses of the F2A Hanze platform
• Set up of a complete cost control system whereby the information flow from the platform, from the Integrated Service Contractor and from the various Petro Canada departments such as Procurement, Operations, Shorebase and Finance are combined in an easy to read monthly report.
• After the termination of the contract with the Integrated Service Contractor the Maximo Maintenance program also became a major source of information, because Maximo was also adopted as ''The Purchasing Program''.
Projects
• Cost control for the P10-4 & F6-3 drilling projects.
• Set up of a combination cost control system whereby the daily costs made during the drilling program were combined with those made at the Home office in order to produce a daily cost control report.
• This combined daily report was discussed and agreed during the morning call with the drilling rig.
• For the project management team a detailed monthly report was produced.
• Cost control for the ''De Ruyter'' pre-development project in P11-B
• Set up of a cost control system whereby in this case the consumed manhours in comparison with the budgeted manhours were the most important part. As a large part of manhours were made in the UK the initial set up of a timely information flow was a major task.
• This cost control report also included sections for the cashflow forecast, the performance graphs and an expanded narrative section whereby all major – and minor over- and underspendings are explained.

Project 2.: Stichting Europoort-Botlek Belangen (E.B.B.)
• The set-up and supervision of an inquiry into the quality of the transport-pipelines in the Europoort-Botlek area. A questionnaire was sent out to all major pipeline owners. The results of the inquiry were processed with a computer-program of the American Battelle Institute which was adapted to the Dutch requirements.
Project 3.: Ballast-Nedam Group Amstelveen
• Cost-engineering for the building of a military airbase including a small village and roads near Riyadh in Saudi-Arabia. Due to the fact that du-ring the early stages of the project priorities were changed, it appeared that no more money was available for the original project. The project was abandoned.
Project 4.: DOW Rotterdam (European Engineering and Construction Services)
• Estimating and cost control for expansion of 4 chemical plants in Stade, Germany and debottlenecking of one in Delfzijl, the Netherlands with a value of about DEM 310,000,000 respectively NLG 25,000,000.--
