MAINTENANCE PLANNER
Responsibilities included field and facility maintenance planning, turnaround planning, and other maintenance planning support as required for multiple departments within the Greater Prudhoe Bay Operating Area for BPX – Alaska. Five years of estimating experience for both oilfield maintenance and heavy construction within Greater Prudhoe Bay was utilized to ensure that work orders were planned based upon a detailed and concise task analysis, to reflect both an accurate level of manpower along with the appropriate skill sets. Overview of tasks and responsibilities included development of project schedules, generation of work orders and materials lists, materials purchasing as required; estimating, and interaction with most other members of the Maintenance, Engineering, Materials, Documentation Services, and Planning Teams. Position also interfaced with Project and Facility Engineers, Operations Supervisors, Maintenance Foremen, Quality Control, Maintenance Craftsmen, and (both Client and Contractor) departmental budget holders to ensure accurate and efficient resource loading and scheduling; to provide optimum utilization of both craft and other resources. Previous estimating experience provides demonstrated ability to systematically tabulate values from drawings, and also provides those skills necessary to review and evaluate accuracy of labor forecasts versus accruals, to refine future projections.

As Estimator/Cost Scheduler was responsible for development of Detailed Cost Estimates, Project Cost Summaries, Project Schedules, and other various cost reports for the client, (British Petroleum – Alaska). Position interfaced with other team members and other departments to assure accurate backlog reporting, identification of productivity trends, trend analyses, and also provided overall cost projections for the Client.

Responsible for skills development of employees and roll out and implementation of new processes within company safety training / awareness program. Involved with development, review, and revisions of departmental safe work practices and procedures. Responsible for evaluations, recognition, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations of craft foremen and other employees. Also involved in the training of craft foremen in methods of consistent and ethical treatment of employees; including training in methods and importance of detailed record keeping for the above purposes.
