* Participated in the preparation of Trans Gulf Gas plant shutdown plans, many times, through shutdown meetings, outstanding items list, process isolation procedures and isolation registers for all units or vessels.
* On job training for Gupco operators and new engineers.
* Participated in the DCS Operator station upgrade from Infi90 to 800 XA for the Trans Gulf Gas Plant, FAT and SAT Tests.
* Built HYSYS simulation program to estimate the optimum operating conditions for refrigeration unit to obtain the minimum cooling temperature at the minimum power consumption and developed new approach to design cascaded refrigeration system.
* Professional in operating refrigeration units.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCES IN SAFETY
* One of the team auditors who followed up the preparation for
ISO 14001 certificate to Trans Gulf Gas Plant.
* One of the two auditors who take the responsibility to ensure & verify that the safety management system is implemented and meet the requirements of OHSAS 18001 certificate to Trans Gulf Gas Plant.
* Perform all risk assessment, STOP card, Safety audit and Hazop studies.
Job duties:
My job responsibilities as Operation and Process engineer were:-
- Carry out Material & Heat Balance, unit's performance check, Optimization, and process equipment Sizing using HYSYS simulation package.
- Process HAZOP Review.
- Review of in-house engineering works including drawings, Specifications, Data Sheets.
- Operate the plant in strict adherence with existing safety and environmental regulations.
- Follow and review the waste disposal from the plant to ensure save Environment.
- Follow up the design works of consultants/ contractors & sub-contractors for any new modification / package / project.
- Participate in the preparation for the different shutdowns.
- Give the guide to the operators inside the field and in control room on (DCS) distributed control system.
- Ability to operate on (DCS).
- Prepare the daily, monthly, the annual activity & production report.
- Perform job procedure, risk assessment analysis, I C C, hazop& safety audit.
- Ensure that all safety rules are respected and executed well.
- Follow the general maintenance in there work.
- Perform corrective actions to prevent equipment or system failure
- Monitor Fire & Gas System through monitoring and control system and take immediate corrective action in the event of alarm or malfunction
- Respond to and handle plant emergencies and upsets.
- Attend the operations meetings to eliminate any bottlenecks

* Senior Process Engineer

- Manage and provide on site technical support, plant trouble shooting.
- Normal operation and troubleshooting with very good knowledge of DCS Baily Infi 90 & ABB 800XA systems.
- Follow & make the necessary change for the operating conditions.
- Issue material requisition for shortage and required spare parts at Gas plant from vendors.
- Follow up with the Chemical lab. Dep. to achieve the recommended LPG, condensate & gas specification.
- Reporting the daily production report & process activities to main office.
- Execute annual, ½ annual overhauls programs of process Equipments (filters - heat Exchangers - vessels – columns – air coolers, etc….).
- Report and arrange with maintenance crew for equipment maintenance and any equipment failure
- Follow up all PM's & CM's for all the equipment in the plant.
- Have the authority to issue all types of work permits and work orders through Maximo.
- Perform the operating and capital budget.

Trans Gulf Gas Plant (GUPCO) -EGYPT

The Plant is designed to Produce 900 Ton/Day of LPG, 4000 BBL/Day of condensate and 137 MMSCFD of sales gas. the gas output from the gas plant is compressed to sales gas national grid and to gas lift system at
October complex platform.
LPG recovered from the gas plant is pumped to Assuit and Suez area.
Condensate recovered is pumped through the crude oil pipe line to
Increase its API.

The facilities consists of:
* Gas Compression (11 Centrifugal compressors )
* Gas Dehydration using Molecular sieves.
* Hydrocarbon Dewpointing using 2 Propane chilling unit.
* 5 LPG spherical tanks with 10000 ton storage capacity & 2 Condensate tanks total capacity of 30,000 BBL condensate

* Utilities (6 air comp's. – 4 Gas fired heaters (cylindrical type – direct
Fire) – High & low press. Fuel gas scrubbers - H.P, L.P. flare sys. (auto ignition) - Open & closed drain - 2 Gas turbines gen. "Solar- 7.2 MW" - 650
