WORK EXPERIENCE:

Working with Saipem, for the FPSO GIMBOA Project as Deputy Operations Manager in Luanda, Angola.

The FPSO has a storage capacity of 1,900,000 barrels of crude oil and the process plant is designed to produce 70,000 bpd.

Client is Sonangol Pesquisa & Producao. Sail away expected by mid of JUL 08 and first oil by OCT 08.

Vessel conversion is on going in Drydock world in Dubai. Presently the Commissioning and integration activities for the top side, engine room, pump room, Final inspections / acceptance of the cargo tanks etc in progress.

In Luanda, Finalizing the local logistic services with agencies, organizing the local office set up & communications, Finalizing the communications line with the client for various issues, Coordinating with Manning agency in ANGOLA for the recruitment of local crew on board etc were on going.

July 2003 to Dec 2006

Nature of work: With Saipem for their JV Project with SBM [FPSO Mystras Producao de Petroleum Lda] in Nigeria as Operations Manager.

Obtaining of necessary technical support for the operation of the vessel in liaison with the Management office, consultants, manufactures, vendors and contractors.

Local operating budget preparation and implementation.

Liaising with Client on the various technical and financial subjects which related to the Operations of the vessel.

Periodic visit to Vessel to for verification of different subjects, review the performance of crew.

Finalizing the Local manning, customs clearing and catering agency for the vessel in liaison with Management Office.

Follow up of local and abroad purchases with the Procurement Dept.

Monitoring the Class and statutory surveys were getting it done in correct time.

Adherence to the local Govt. Policies, regulations and compliance to the vessel.

Dec 2002 to May 2003: With Saipem- Aban India Ltd, as Senior Engineer – Project Coordinator.

Effluent Disposal Pipeline Project for Gujarat Industrial Development Cooperation - Dahej, India.

Oct 2002 to Nov 2002: With Saipem – Aban India Ltd, as Senior Engineer – Project Coordinator.

Replacement of Common user shore Pipelines from Manifold at Pir Pau for Mumbai Port Trust - Mumbai, India.
