Personal Statement

I'm looking for a career in the oil industry, working on the rigs. I have always been interested in oil, and I am a practical person. I enjoy hard work, working with my hands, and perform best in small-medium teams (3-30 people).

Key Skills

Highly developed interpersonal skills. I can get along with anyone, and look at something from their point of view to improve my service.

Incredibly practical – most of my spare time is spent fixing cars or bikes, it comes naturally to me and keeps me occupied.

Very hardworking. If I'm not kept busy I get bored, so I find long hours and hard work satisfying.

A working knowledge of Government Accountancy, so while the Government Accountancy part isn't applicable in the private sector, I'm good with numbers.

* I work in the Environment Agency sponsorship division, handling the financial sponsorship of the
Environment Agency, and also maintaining the high level relationship between Defra and the
Environment Agency by arranging high level meetings and dinners.

* My duties include:

* Handling financial casework, to ensure the Environment Agency are spending their money correctly.

* Paying a monthly grant claim to the Environment Agency.

* Arranging high level meetings between the Environment Agency and Defra.

* Running the Divisional website

* ad-hoc IT assistance and training.

Reason for leaving: The work does not satisfy me, and I have trouble finding enough work to do.
