MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

I. To tour to the Oil processing plant, Natural gas dehydration plant, Crude stabilization plant, Booster pump station, MID point pump station, Gas injection plant, Water injection plant, Glycol regeneration (Reboiler) plant to every one hour to monitor performance and ensure efficient operation according to prescribed conditions.
II. To record in a log sheet operating data such as: flow rates, pressure, temperature, levels … etc, of each Module including Separators, Scrubbers, Gas header, Pumps, Compressor, Reboiler, Heater. To report to Production Supervisor abnormal readings recommending appropriate remedial action. To implement approved ones immediately.
III. To operate including starting-up / shutting down the plant and adjusting associates gauges to maintain the required levels, flow rates pressure and temperature. Preparing for pig launching and receiving operation.
IV. To prepare the plant for maintenance when required, accompanies the Instrument / Mechanical / Electrical Technicians to explain defects / defaults ensuring safe preparation of equipment for routine planned maintenance and test such repaired equipment to ensure smooth efficient operation.
V. To inform supervisor for requesting stores stock items / chemicals necessary for operating the plant, checks consignment and endorses loading / delivery notes. Check & fill the lube oil in mail oil transfer pumps, compressor, and fill hydraulic oil in the hydraulic pump in booster pump station.
VI. To carry out simple laboratory tests to confirm the quality of plant products (oil, water, gas) and to help to evaluate plant performance such as water quality tests, gas dew point, oil water cut, glycol pH … etc.
VII. To mix chemicals to appropriate ratios and to prepare doses for injection into process streams whenever required. Calibrate and stroke adjustment of the chemical pumps. Chemical injection like oil line corrosion inhibitor (Tecno-941), PPD, Demulsifier, water base Demulsifier, wax dispersant, DRA, Reverse Demulsifier, biocide, HCL acid injection, methanol injection know. Check the eye wash liquid periodically and keep ready for use in the eye wash station.
VIII. To carryout planned inspection and safety tours to identify unsafe conditions and practice, classify equipment from hazard point of view. To prepare machinery and equipment for maintenance in accordance with safety regulations and to maintain adequate standard of housekeeping through out the plants.
IX. To perform other related duties such as collecting oil, water and gas samples carrying out first line routine service e.g. greasing, lubricating, adjusting glands, tightening loose connections, changing filters …. Etc. Producing weekly chemicals stock / consumption reports …. Etc.
X. To inform supervisor to issue work permits like cold work permit, hot work permit along with the certificates like electrical isolation certificate, gas test certificate, radioactive certificate, excavation certificate, scaffolding certificate, lift certificate, ground disturbance certificate, … Etc.
XI. To conduct monthly fire drill & safety meeting at FPF sent the reports to supervisor.
Keep all the Records as per the ISO-14001 (EMS) environmental management system & run the plant as per ISO-14001 standard.

ROLE AND SCOPE:
To operate shutting down / starting-up the processing plant assigned to an Offshore / Onshore platform for collection, treatment & inward transmission to consumers of oil & gas. To mix chemicals, prepare the plant for routine / planned maintenance and carry out first line maintenance. The plant includes: Water injection facilities, gas injection facilities, MID point booster pump station, separation facilities with OIL & GAS Separators and gas treatment plants with associated equipment such as: 3 phase/2 phase separator, OGM, GGS, filter separator, dehydrators, scrubber's, reboiler, flash drum, still column, glycol filter, charcoal filter, heat exchanger (plate type/shell & tube type), metering skid, booster pumps, crude oil transfer pump, skim oil pumps, risers ….. Etc.

WELL HEAD OPERATION

Well head operation, well flow maintaining, water unloading, panel board operation, testing of individual wells through test separator, operation and maintenance of X-mass tree, choke manifold, positive choke valve, adjustable choke and down changing of choke, storm choke, High / low pressure pilots. Collecting of well head data's and well inspection. Check the annulus pressure, bleeding and testing the reading of STHP, FTHP, AP, LP, CP etc. in oil field operation familiar with oil & gas processing. Flowing of the wells through Gas injection, Water injection, PCP, ESP (REDA, DAIQING, and WSP) operating in oil wells.

Operation of X-mass tree gate valve, swab/crown valve, upper master and lower master valve, wing valve, annulus valve, arm valve, safomatic valve, SSSV, SSV, SDV. Good knowledge of operating OGM-Oil Gathering Manifold, GGS-Group Gathering Station. Replacement of chokes (bean) the type of PLUG, BOLT and MMA in Gas wells & Oil wells. Shutdown wells restart by equalizing method – Gas and water equalization.

PROCESS OPERATION

Familiar with oil processing have a good experience of producing 250000 BPD crude oil. Smooth operation and maintenance of FWKD, oil heater, indirect crude heater, 3 phase separator, degassing boot, settling tank, pump run tank, 1st and 2nd stage desalter, oil stripper, crude oil transfer pump, storage tank, booster pump, main pump, bad oil tank, skim pump, produced water and skimmer operation. Complete knowledge of startup and shutdown of DCS control system ABB (Freelance-2000) DigiVis version 6.1 (1428) used at the plant.

To run the plant as per ISO-14001 EMS standard. Minimize/prevent pollution arising out of its activities, products and services. Promote resource conservation & waste minimization. Comply with all the relevant environmental legislation and corporate HSE policy. Protect its employees against occupational hazards. Continually improve environmental performance through its review and corrective measures.

To maintain all ISO-14001 (EMS) records like environmental lapse register, Gas detector calibration record, Accident/incident report, fire mock drill record, waste disposal record (discarded batteries), waste disposal register (miscellaneous), well checking record, POL consumption register, vessel tank cleaning register, noise level measurement record register, gas test measurement record register, training record, log book, produced water disposal register, drinking water quality monitoring record, vehicle entry register, water consumption register, energy consumption register … etc.

Familiar with oil & gas processing have good experience in the operation of Natural gas dehydration & Glycol regeneration unit. Completed commissioning of plant producing gas of 1000000 SCMD. Smooth operation and maintenance of process plant and instruments. Complete knowledge of startup and shutdown of SCADA control system used at the plant (Serck control, U.K. Based control room). Monitoring process parameters through computer from control room.

Operation and maintenance of separator handling HP, MP, LP, FWKD, Production & Test separator 2 phase and 3 phase separator pumping crude from sump caisson. Changing orifice plates following are Daniel senior / junior and standard orifice plate. Flowing well fluid through separators, by passing opening and closing. Recover the oil from evaporation ponds through ORS SAP pumps. Crude oil, condensate is storing and dispatch to consumers.

GAS DEHYDRATION UNIT:

The dehydration is consisting of two sections. The dehydration section and glycol regeneration section. Natural gas from HP & Test separator constitutes feed to gas dehydration system. Glycol purification, glycol regeneration, natural gas dehydration, coaleser filter, glycol contactor, glycol recovery scrubber, reboiler, burner, reflux coil, 3-way valve, glycol flash drum, cartridges and charcoal filter, lean rich glycol exchanger, glycol storage tank, glycol circulation pump operation. Fuel gas, pilot gas, blanket gas and stripping gas operation.

EQUIPMENT OPERATION:

Thorough knowledge of sea water lifting pump, fire water pump. Knowledge of main injection pump offshore sweet water maker, strainers, safety choke, gas flow elements, centrifugal pump, positive displacement pump, centrifugal compressor, reciprocating compressor, multistage compressor – startup, shutdown, normal operation and trouble shooting. Flare knockout drum operations (HP, LP KOD drum, water seal), Ground flare system, Elevated flare system Cold vent, CTM etc. PCV – LCV – PSV – NRV – ESD – PSD – FSD – BDV – SSV – SSSV – FCV – Gate or Block valve – Ball valve – MOV – Needle valve, 3 & 4 way valve, Butterfly valve, Globe valve… etc.

SAFETY EQUIPMENT OPERATION:

Familiar with handling of safety equipments, Gas tester, H2S monitor, hydrocarbon explosive gas detection system, fire detection system, fire extinguishers like fluro protein foam, chemical foam, CO2, DCP, fusible plug, U.V.sensor, life jackets and safety belts … etc

WORK RELATIONS:

a) Having daily contacts with work associates and maintenance personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and plant start-up/shut-down and preparation for maintenance.
b) Having frequent contacts with contractor's production servicemen / helpers to provide work directions instructions and explain requirements.

LATITUDE:

a) To report to production supervisor.
b) To work according to well – defined procedures and use of own initiative / judgment in mixing chemicals adjusting plant conditions shutting down the plant or starting up additional plant / equipment during emergencies keeping supervisor informed of conditions.
c) Completed work is spot – checked by supervisor.

Professional Training:

1. Survival at Sea course in Mumbai.
2. Completed basic fire fighting training conducted by fire Officer and controller of ONGC offshore NQO OIL & GAS processing platform in India.
3. Completed Defensive Driving Course – DDC conducted by Standard Road Safety Trainers – Malaysia in GNPOC Onshore oil processing complex in Sudan.
4. Good typing speed 60 wards per minute over personal computer.

Educational Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
