Responsibilities broadly include ensuring technical performance of the company's drilling operations and monitoring partner operations for time & cost efficiency, developing high quality project plans, performance monitoring & analyses, and preparation of well completion reports. The exposure has allowed me to experience diverse dimensions of drilling engineering leading to optimisation of resources and minimising CPF of the wells drilled. We have set benchmarks in terms of CPF for the exploratory wells drilled in the region by recording CPF as low as USD 155/ft on a 10,600 ft (3231 m) deep well. During the recent campaign, I had the opportunity to plan 15 wells in our Mirpurkhas & Khipro concessions and several workover ventures including the most unprecedented Ratana – 3 operations conducted in Q1 2007. The operations included recovery of 10 years old completion string and uncemented liner from a lateral open hole and deepening the well to TD at 17,700 ft (5,400 m) MD. Hallmark of the World's Deepest Open Hole Kick-off ever by Schlumberger in the HPHT environment was the highlight of drilling operations.With ambitions as my strength, I have always tried to reach out for challenges with a positive outlook. Technical Responsibilities
* Monitoring well site operations and ensure compliance to company's HSE policies.
* Prepares well programs taking account of stratigraphy, geophysical data, & desired production flow rates
* Planning for upcoming prospects in company's concession areas and forecast materials & services requirement.
* Carrying out engineering analysis of rig site data & suggest operational changes for resource optimisation in drilling practices.
* Maintain effective communications throughout the department and with "internal clients" ensuring efficient coordination within the company.
* Responsible for Contracts & Materials Management required by the Drilling Department including preparation of Tender Documents & Services Contracts, Techno-commercial evaluations for services and tangibles, & coordination between vendors & Contracts/Materials Deptt. to ensure Workorder Compliance
* Coordinates with the service companies / vendors for the timely provision / supplies of services / tangibles required for the drilling operations.
* Monitor drilling activity in JVP concession areas and represent the company in respective OCM / TCM's.
* Supervise specialized jobs at the well site.
* Work as Night Company Man / Company Man at the well site as and when required.
* Looks after administrative affairs of the department on behalf and under the directives of Manager Drilling and deputizes for Drilling Manager in his absence.

Financial Responsibilities
* Preparation of well AFE's, Departmental Cost Centre & Capex Budget.
* Monitoring daily progress of well operations of the company and JVP's, and update AFE costs, comparing with AFE Costs and recommending changes for improvements in drilling techniques to improve cost efficiency.
