Contracted by MCA to work in Algier, Algeria in the capacity of Drilling Manager for Petro Vietnam during their onshore drilling campaign. Although the title of the position was Drilling Manager, overall responsibility included management of logistics and procurement, geology, engineering and operations.

* Bidding, Analysis and Evaluation of services.

Responsibilities included:
* Liaison with Government and Regulatory authorities.

* Coordinating contingency plans, operating procedures, evacuation and health plans for National and Expatriate personnel during the torrential rain and flooding caused by the El Nino in late 1997 and early 1998.
oAt the height of the rains, with 90% of the wells inundated, production was maintained at 50% of the pre-rain production. No equipment or infrastructure in the field was lost.
oNo loss of life and no staff or their families suffered from the diseases prevalent during the crisis.
oBasic food, water, transportation and medical supplies were provided to a village of approximately 650 people situated within the operating area.
