Responsibilities:
* Support utility area manager, engineers in organizing utility documents in efficient manner.
* Assist in the training and fine tuning of manuals for fresh operators to become conversant with plant operating procedures and safety systems. Make recommendation to superior on subordinate's performance.
* Review daily operation results; summarize abnormalities of all relevant logs during shift period to maintain an accurate and comprehensive record of plant and equipment.
* Completes all administrative functions required within the scope of department as necessary including updates to operations manuals, logs/records to be maintained throughout the shift.
* Preparation of data on electrical power generation for computer analysis and analysis of computer output for plotting power plant performances.
* Execute operational task management (OTM), including the development of operator tasks lists, operator rounds, and shift handover reporting and generating weekly / monthly reports from shift foremen's turnover reports.

* Supervise shutdown and start-up operations of the following plant equipments within the scope of job responsibility.
Utility Boilers, Gas Turbine Generators, Heat Recovery Steam Generators, Steam Turbine Generators, Desalination Unit (Reverse Osmosis) and Demineralization System (Ion Exchange Polisher System)
* Performs patrol duties at pre-determined intervals to monitor plants operating conditions to ensure quick response to abnormal operational conditions and parameters. Assess root causes and remedial actions and involve shift foremen and the utility engineers when necessary.
* Perform routine monitoring of chemical injections into utility boilers, waste heat boilers (HRSG), deaerators, cooling water circuit and chemical analysis.
* Involved in the operating team during pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and responsible for lockout and tag out procedures and issuance of work permits.
* Inspects equipment and performs preventive maintenance measures and routine operational adjustments such as lubrication and filter cleaning.
* Ensures plant is running at optimal level, by reading trends and paying attention to detail to notice possible problems before they happen.

* Monitor and control the following operations associated with the production and utilization of steam and supporting systems; combustion air pre-heaters, boiler blow downs, condensate recovery systems (steam traps, separators) BFW systems (economizers, water demineralization, deaerators), steam header control (pressure reducing station & de-superheating stations).
* Operate a DCS control panel and rotate job positions as directed by the shift supervisor.
* Prepares report on the state of equipment for the reliever's information's and reports all plants upset conditions to shift supervisor and lead operators.
* Ensures control room is monitored on a constant basis throughout shift and prepare operating log book and submit to superior.

* Start and monitor the operations of the following equipments; gas turbine generators (cogeneration), steam turbine generators (both extraction and condensate recovery system), steam turbine pumps, electric motor pumps, air compressors, air dryers and anti - fire pumps.
* Records hourly reading such as temperatures, pressures, feed water flow, steam flow, etc and makes any adjustments as required.
* Operates demineralization treatment plant (ion exchange polisher) to ensure constant water supply.
* Sees to the efficient operations of cooling tower water system and its auxiliaries to ensure quality and adequate cooling water supply to the plant.
* Lubricates and greases auxiliary equipments.
* Monitors fuel gas and fuel oil supply to utility boilers to ensure a continues fuel supply.
* Prepares report on the state of equipment for the reliever's information's.
