Work Experience

I joined BPP on 25th February 2002 in Production Department.
Having the designation of a Production Operator-I, I have been performing as a Production Operator-II for 3 years. I have also worked as a Lead operator of several facilities and have also experience of assisting our APS and have accomplished several assignments.

GAS FIELD

Operating and monitoring production data of high-pressure gas plants that include well stream separation through high-pressure separators, gas dehydration, condensate stabilization, Gas metering, FLOBOSS, cathodic protection through ICCP rectifiers, Gas lines pigging, On-line gas sampling via Welker Sampler, Well head and Facility Gas compression system with positive displacement compressors and good awareness of the PLC System.

OIL FIELD

Oil field experience includes water injection and disposal systems, artificial lift by hydraulic jet pumps / gas lift and remote facilities operations, Tank dipping, gauging and sampling, maintaining Injection water quality by Millipore tests, Well testing. Conducting Well site related activities, well Commissioning, Decommissioning, Minor Maintenance/Servicing of instruments like PCV, LCV, Texteam Chemical Injection pumps & Auto Drainers, Follow-ups of P & IDS. Awareness of the Safety Critical Equipments like SSV, ESV, PRV, PSP, PBU. BHP Survey and Pigging of Gas and water injection lines.

POWER GENERATION

Power generation through 600 KVA generators running in parallel including UPS (un-interrupted power supply), power sharing (Synchronization). Have experience of running 4 generators in parallel at a time on full load and managing to keep them running even in critical conditions.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Have ample awareness of HSE policies, ISO 14001 environmental standards and OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health standards (In BP, combination of both of these systems is known as IMS-Integrated management System). At facilities as a lead operator it was our responsibility to keep records up to date and according to the requirements of the systems i.e. ISO or OHSAS. I participated in a number of ISO and OSHAS audits. Have raised many HSE related suggestions and got best SAFE card award also.

PROCEDURES

Have an intimate knowledge of "Permit to Work System" (Have recently done its refresher course) and have ample experience of using PTW system, Confined Space Entry, Energy Isolation, Working at Heights and Task Risk Assessment.

UTILITY PLANTS

1 year experience of operating and trouble shooting Aqua Plant, have ample knowledge of drinking water standards of WHO. Also have experience of operating HVAC plant.

1) "Field Trainee" Course (It was a 3 months class room training whereby we went through many technical modules and then written examination of each module and then we were required to spend 3 rotations with maintenance department).
2) "Production Operator-I" Course (It was a 3 months' class room training conducted by Prof Dr. Qazi whereby we went through many technical modules and then written examination of each module).
3) "Permit to Work" Certification (3 days' class room training and then written test. Recently got its refresher 1 days class room training conducted by MAXTRAIN which authorizes me as a "Permit Issuer and Isolation Authority").
4) "BP's Golden Safety Rules & TRA" (a three day class room course conducted by SGS Pakistan Pvt. Ltd.)
5) "Basic Fire Fighting Training" (1 day class room training and then written test & practical of fighting a fire and using fire extinguishers was also conducted in a remote yard conducted by Fire Fighting Association of Pakistan)
