JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for implementing company safety practices during working hours. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safety assistance and coverage

 Conducts ship and shore safety inspection prior jetty operation of ships and barges berthing at Shell Refinery.
 Conduct Safe Act Auditing (SAA) at my area premises, ensures that workers at my site complies with the company's HSSE policy during working hours.
 Sign and countersigns permit of contractors assigned at my jetty premises before doing their job for the day.
 Assist maintenance contractors in doing jetty maintenance and repairs.
 Ensures that gas testing is done, jetty must be gas free before commencing work if contractors at my area are conducting hot works, specifically welding or cutting works.
 Ensures that SCBA's are stand-by with continuous monitoring of H2S during VLCC discharging.
 Conducts oxygen monitoring using oxygen analyzers prior ship/barge tank entries.

Fire Fighting Equipment (FFE)

 Routine inspection of firefighting equipment at jetty area, which includes monthly checking and inspection of fire extinguishers, check the operability of fire cannons, fire and foam monitors.
 Inspection of fire hose boxes, fire hose and nozzles, fire hydrants, fire call point, deluge systems, etc. Ensure their operability and raised reports if they need repair and maintenance.
 Assist maintenance contractors in doing repairs and preventive maintenance of all fire fighting equipment.
 Assist Shell instrumentation technician in regular testing of fire call points and deluge system.
 Assist contractors in pressure testing of fire hoses with its holding pressure of 10 bars to assure the integrity and serviceability of the hoses.

Jetty/Berth Operations

 Signs or countersigns ship and shore valuable documents before and after loading / discharging operation, including: Ship / Shore Safety checklist, Letter for Issue to Ships Master, Loading / discharging Plan, Ship's Notice of Readiness, Dryness Certificate, Sealing Plan, TPP Form, Pressure Log Form, etc…
 Responsible to stop all unsafe acts and conditions and attend all jetty emergencies.
 Monitoring of Ship's loading and discharging operation, also logging of time-to-time events.
 Operation of FMC, Niigata and Kanon loading arms for connection and disconnection to ship's manifold.
 Product lining up of MOV, ROV, UZV for loading and unloading of ship's such as Refrigerated and Pressurized LPG's, Oil products, Bitumen, Crude…
 Conduct bunkering to local and foreign ships when required.
 Engage in injection of Ethel Mercaptan for Pressurized LPG operation.
 Witness ship's Chief Officer sounding and inspection of non-nominated tanks.
 Sealing of cargo tanks after loading operation for local tankers.
 Conduct Product Sampling (line sample, first foot, after loading sample) during cargo transfer operation.
 Hourly monitoring of weather condition using barometer, anemometer (wind tracker).
 Operation of fire fighting facilities at the jetty such as fire / foam cannon, fire extinguishers…etc.
 Attend scheduled trainings and seminars required by PSPC which includes Safety and Jetty Operations.
