A Joint Venture of Qatar Petroleum (QP) and Chevron Phillips Chemical Co (CPC)
Joined as Ethylene/Sulphur Board Operator on 27 Jan 2002 at Pre-commissioning stage, promoted as Shift supervisor (Ethylene/Sulphur) in April 2005, transferred to NAO plant as shift supervisor (NAO) at plant construction stage on March 2009.
Working as: Shift Supervisor (Normal Alfa Olefin).
As Supervisor(Ethylene/Sulfur), I was responsible for Ethylene (cracking furnaces section, Crack gas compressor/ethylene refrigerant compressor/ propane refrigerant compressor and boil off gas compressors, fractionation section, Ethylene/Ethane storage section) and Sulfur plant (acid gas removal with amine/MDEA, sulfur recovery KTI process, liquid & solid sulfur handling/storage) safe and stable operation/maintenance in the shift and training/ supervision of 13 members sift crew (board and field operators), act as an incident commander in case of emergency response to bring the situation under control and timely reporting of the incident.
As Supervisor (NAO), I am responsible for SOP/EOP and commissioning procedures and modules preparation, training to the operators. Safety audit during plant construction stage,

„« Q-Chem Company's mission/vision and values and tenets of operation training and general orientation training (GOT) for newly recruited operators.
„« TRAQS (training records & qualification system) on line CBT.
„« EDMS (electronic document management system) training.
„« Operators On Job Training (OJT) and solo phase field training.
„« Honeywell TDC-3000 Simulator DCS training for board operators.
„« First aid / heat stress and use of fire fighting equipment (deluge system, fire extinguishers etc) and fire protection system (field mounted gas detectors, FM-200 for control room equipments etc.

* Pre Commissioning and commissioning activities, Performance test runs etc
* Production Representative for Process Hazards Analysis in Ethylene/Sulfur area.
* Actively involved in operators on job and classroom training programs and conducting class room training using latest multimedia techniques.
* Involved in the hiring team for new operators recruitment from different nationalities (Jakarta and Cairo) and conducted written tests / COBRA test and interviews.
* Worked as Specialist (Ethylene/Sulfur) in Q-Chem for two months to fill in vacation coverage.
- Preparing monthly production plan, writing daily operating instructions, co-ordination with procurement and day-to-day maintenance planning, co-ordination with technical dept for plant optimization.
- involved in plant turn around (annual S/D) planning that included maintenance job planning, spares requisition, SAP request, preparation of blinding list /LOTO list in advance and communication with vendors to have their availability during T/A period etc.
- Also involved in the review/approval team for plant SOPs (standard operating procedures) and EOPs (emergency operating procedures) and "What If" scenarios and operators' development programs.
* MOC process implementation for safety and better operability.
* Worked as commissioning engineer appointed by Shell for Sakhalin Energy LNG (Russia) Onshore Production Facility for 2 months (Feb / Mar 2008).
