Major Duties
Supervise, monitor and control the safe and efficient operations for the production/ injection of oil/gas/water as assigned. Check regularly to ensure production quotas and production specifications are adhered to target. Coordinate maintenance and shut down requirement to ensure operation of assigned facilities are running smoothly and in synch with maintenance. Construction and project and minimum disruption to off take requirements. Wellhead completion, surface casing repairs, hand over of wells to drilling for work over and acceptance of wells there after, assist in developing the department capital and operating budget and monitor expenditure. Ensure all work carried out in accordance with safety rules and regulations. Ensure that all subordinates are familiar with safety equipment and procedures, and that safety rules and strictly observed. Takes charges of operations in case of emergencies and contacts emergency response team as soon as possible
Duties in detail
ƒæ Supervise the activities of assigned personnel. Perform supervisory functions and excesses financial authorities established by management for level.
ƒæ Supervise, monitor and implement production/injection requirements as develops daily work requirements, planned maintenance or work over schedule. Ensure targets are met with minimum flaring/liquids burning.
ƒæ Supervise the safe and efficient start-up and shutdown of varies process plant and equipment. Ensure that equipment operations and start up procedure are strictly observed. Monitor the running of such equipment and report anomalies as detected.
ƒæ Plan and direct the regular checking and recording of various flow, levels, pressures and temperatures to ensure they are within specified operation limits. Review abnormal readings and take corrective actions. Draft work requests to deal with unresolved problems.
ƒæ Monitor and ensure the proper function of the emergency shutdown system and fire and gas detection system in coordination with maintenance personnel, initiate and ensure that overrides to the system are approved and appropriates up on completion of required work.
ƒæ Participates in developing and reviewing maintenance plans by advising on equipment availability for maintenance. Taking into account maintenance priorities, operations safety and production targets. Review maintenance work and plans and rearrange schedules as required in order to meet the production quotas.
ƒæ Mange and control all process equipment shutdown maintenance activities to ensure minimum interruption to production/injection programs. Ensure that the shutdown requirement are in place prior to the plant release
ƒæ Supervise the collection of reliability data for various plants and participate in plant and equipment evaluation. Ensure inspection and corrosion protection programs are implemented. Approve and supervise pigging operations and liaise with pipeline maintenance personnel on pig launching determines and control pig speed and flow rate
ƒæ Supervise the preparation of well for well testing, as required. And ensure data is recorded and foreword to concerned personnel/departments
ƒæ Takes total control of the field in the event of any emergency shutdown or any fire/gas detection arising. Determine the nature of hazards and instruct subordinates on action to be taken including evacuation, if necessary.
ƒæ Troubleshooting problems or abnormal occurrences of either production or safety nature advice on most suitable remedy including partial or full shutdown and optimizing operation to ensure minimum disruption to production.
ƒæ Check regularly wells integrity by testing SSSV, x-tree valves and x-over valves and report to concerning divisions, prepare and hand over wells for rig/rig less work, preparing all checks required for rig or barge approach
ƒæ Arrange with logistics to request the required chopper flight and supply vessels to transfer personnel and cargos
ƒæ Suggesting training programs for self and other subordinate's development. Arrange our schedule to implement training without any disruption with operation. Instructor for weekly safety meetings and H2S course. Arrange with HSE department to improve team performance.
October complex platform consists of:-
o Main separation area ( 4 th production separators 80,000 BFPD and 68,000
MMSCFD of gas @ 60 PSI capacity, Open drain system, Closed drain system, 4 th
Shipping crude oil pumps, many oil pig traps (launchers & receivers), many Gas pig Launchers, Fuel gas system, Gas generators, Diesel generator, Air compressors, Dehydration unit, Control room, Automation host computer).
o Drilling platform (9 th producing oil wells, 2 nd producing water wells with
Electric submersible pump, 1 st injection well) connected with complex through
Walk Way Bridge.
o Gas compression platform (one Gas Lift compressor 40 MMSCFD, Gas
Dehydration unit, Fuel gas system, two low pressure gas compressors 90
MMSCFD of gas). Also connected with complex through walk Way Bridge.
o Gas Compression Deck (Three gas lift compressors 75 MMSCFD of gas & one
Low-pressure gas compressor 25 MMSCFD of gas) on the complex separation
