Oxygen Process Technician
Accountabilities:
Monitoring and controlling Rosemount DCS system ensuring –
�� The process is operating within its perimeters.
�� The Main Air Compressors are at it's normal operating capacity
Distillate and liquefy oxygen into liquid oxygen
�� Distillate and liquefy waste nitrogen
�� Distillate pure nitrogen for industrial purpose
�� Storing liquid gas into LP storage Tanks ( 8 off )
�� Transferring liquid gas from the LP storage Tanks to HP storage tanks to supply liquid oxygen to Autoclave Operation.
�� Refilling Nitrogen cylinders and supplying to Mine workshop and Autoclave operation.
�� Meeting customers expectation
PRODUCTION SENIOR PROCESS TECHNICIAN ( Agogo Production Facility)
(rotational 28 days onsite/28 days offsite)
�� Supervised a team of Junior Process Technicians 12hr shifts for both night and day with a high focus on safety
�� Managed and coordinated plant and field reliability, operability and uptime
�� Coordinated and assisted Production Coordinator to commission new wellheads, coordinate plant maintenance and project activities
�� Participated in HAZOPS, safety meetings, planning meetings and project meetings
�� Liaised with all support groups for production optimizations and facility major maintenance projects
�� Organized soft skills and technical training for all operators
�� Provided hands on training for field, plant and board operators.
�� Participated and coordinated plant/field MOC
�� 50% Assisted the Production Plant Supervisors in the planning and coordination of daily operations activities for Agogo Processing Facility, associated wells, and the
Moran Field. Provided guidance to the operators and assisted them in troubleshooting of equipment and wells. Liaised with other departments to schedule projects with minimal disruption to operations and production.
�� 25% Assisted Production Plant Supervisor in the development and administration of on the job training for operators and roustabouts.
Assisted Production Plant Supervisor in utilizing the JSA program to identify individual employee's training needs.
Put input PMP sessions for operators and roustabouts. Compiled soft skills training plans for operators and roustabouts and ensured that their needs are met.
Provided counselling to employees.
�� 15% Plan and coordinate HES audits and Safety meetings for the work group.
Ensure group supports HES initiatives and establishes safety targets for the work group. Ensure that all work is performed in full compliance with regulations and procedures as defined in Policy 530.

�� Distribution of refined products to its customers.

�� Responsible (in conjunction with the area team) for the safe efficient running of the Processing Facility in all situations, eg. Start, shut down, major Plant upsets, disruptions and emergencies.
�� Coordinate the 12 hours shift operational plant maintenance job carried out by
(Instrument Technicians, Electrician, Mechanics, Contractors are in accordance with the OSL (PPE) policy safety manner & provide expert advise to the work group to prevent unnecessary equipment down time as well as the total Shut Down which will cost the company in lost production since every seconds in a day is accountable.
�� Proceeds on own initiatives, judgements and decision to fulfil customer needs and requests.
�� Monitor Plant Equipments and Submit work request to maintenance for repairs, pre maintenance checks and other necessity jobs for the smooth running of all the plant equipments.
�� Provide the team (Process Technicians, Electricians and Mechanics) with UDC
expertise, including the ability to maintain the integrity of the system, identifying irregularities and responding appropriately. Advise the craftsmen on the fault finding on the equipments on exact location to correct fault with less equipment down time.
�� Ensure the total plant control is maintained.
�� Ensure unit optimisation and yield maximisation, while maintaining product specifications ( collect morning run down samples & product storage tank finals for quality testing by the laboratory Technicians
Maintain an overview of the entire plant, making adjustments with consideration of the total impact of any alteration.
�� Provide guidance, to other members for the shift team in the area of UDC plant monitoring & adjustments. Familiarisation of control application and the UDC 500
training mode.
�� Plant and conduct weekly communication meeting, HSES Group 4PF7 safety meetings for the work group. Ensures the group supports and understands the objectives Protecting People and the Environmental rules and regulation as defined in Policy 530 "Protecting People and the Environment".
�� Plan on the job training ( OJT) for new Process Technician Apprentices, including testing verification and documentation of their qualifications to ensure employees successfully complete their ECBMs and JSA's. Suggest modification to programmes, manuals, training modules and OJT as required to keep employees informed for new equipment and process changes. Provide input for Performance Management
Program (PMP) session.
�� Start up and shut down the plant as required. Interface with maintenance department to ensure their activities have minimum impact on production and ensure all work is carried in a safe efficient manner.
�� Keep the Plant Supervisor advised of any critical process or equipment problem,
Well problem, security issues, or other factors that could adversely affect safety, environmental and production.
�� Facilitate the end of shift handover meetings with a written twelve hour summary of shift reports.
�� Attend job related courses for work knowledge optimisation.
