RESPONSIBILITIES
* Responsible to develop 3D fit-for-purpose geological models of reservoirs that lead to the appraisal and development of well proposals or Field Development Plans
* Having excellent experience of independently reviewing the quality and quantity of existing data and identifying information gaps and carrying out geological input and reserves calculations and establishing which parameters critically control the volumetric ranges.
* Responsible for providing geological input (maps, sections etc) for integrated well planning discussions.
* Providing a regional geological framework from which reliable risk assessments can be made and critical geological parameters for successful development can be predicted.
* Providing a fit-for-purpose static reservoir model and constrain models with seismic interpretation and dynamic production data.
* Provide geological input for integrated well planning discussions, prepare well trajectories from wellhead to TD, and prepare well proposals using all the relevant geological data.
* Having personal creativity and project management skills to deliver quality products, and always prepared to contribute to the scoping of new projects for farming in and negotiations with our EP partners, and participate in data room reviews in support of new business opportunity evaluations.
* Having confidence in undertaken field and reservoir studies and always worked closely with geophysicists, petrophysicists and reservoir engineers
* Integration of seismic and well data on a field wide basis.
* Preparation of geological models and in conjunction with other PE disciplines numerical models for reservoir simulation.
* Identify and co-ordinate geological research projects, which could enhance oil recovery.
* Contribute to well proposals and well evaluations.
* Optimise data gathering. Ensure effective reservoir data management.
* Liaise with operations to ensure that latest ideas are absorbed into operations planning.

STUDIES
* Undertake geological studies to high technical standards and incorporate relevant aspects of other disciplines.
* Undertake integrated reservoir studies to define future development opportunities and reserves potential. This will require working in an integrated discipline team using the latest static-reservoir modelling technology.
* Carried out single and multi-well reservoir evaluation studies incorporating mud-logs, wire-line/ dip logs and FMS/ FMI logs for development and simulation purposes on various operated fields. Conducted studies of fractured carbonate reservoirs, using core data and wire-line logs to classify and interpret fractures.
* Monitored vertical and deviated wells while drilling, worked as well-site geologist on many wells drilled in the said tenure, witnessed wire-line log runs, supervised coring job, generated well prognosis and completion reports.
* On the basis of available data proposed various work over in producing field.
* Member of multi-disciplinary, simulation study of the Meyal Oil Field, Eocene carbonates in Potwar area of Pakistan. Role involved delineating reservoir layering and correlation, mapping facies and reservoir quality.
* Performed geologic evaluation, prospect generation and volumetric reserves estimation by making cross sections and subsurface maps on numerous operated fields and new ventures.
* Member of multidisciplinary reservoir management team charged with evaluation of all operated fields and making recommendations to attaining optimum production.
