Job Description

Managerial Responsibilities:

1. Internal Auditing.
2. Scheduling calibration to all lab devices.
3. Reviewing stocks.
4. Preparation and standardization of chemicals.
5. Issuing technical reports.
6. Issuing of work orders and material requisitions.
7. Acting as training coordinator.
8. Acting as safety coordinator.
9. Monitoring the quality of all products and ensuring the quality control system.
10. Preparation of training courses and training plans including training employees.

Technical Responsibilities:

A. Gas Analysis:

* Natural Gas Analysis using Perkin-Elmer gas chromatograph autosystem 2206 which controlled by turbochrome4 software.
* Following up the efficiency of the gas sweetening unit by measuring the percent of sour gases at the inlet and outlet of this unit by DRÄGER or GASTEC tubes.
* Following up water dew point of export gas using portable moisture analyzer (SHOW & PANAMETRIC).
* Calculation of the gas physical properties BTU – Sp Gr - Mwt & Hydrocarbon dew point using specific software and measuring the water dew point.

B. Condensate Analysis:

* Determination of API gravity.
* Determination of water content by centrifuge method.
* Determination of pour point
* Determination of salt content.
* Determination of vapor pressure by Reid method.
* Determination of initial & final boiling point by distillation test.

C. Lube Oil Analysis:

* Determination of kinematic viscosity.
* Determination of specific gravity.
* Determination of water content by Karl-Fischer coulometric titration.
* Determination of pour point.
* Determination of flash point and fire point.
* Calculation of viscosity index.
* Calculation of dynamic viscosity.

D. Glycol Analysis:

* Determination of water content by distillation.
* Determination of specific gravity.
* Determination of pH.
* Determination of water content by Karl-Fischer coulometric titration.

E. Water Analysis:

* Determination of water salinity by silver nitrate titration method.
* Determination of water salinity by HACH conductivity meter.
* Determination of pH.
* Determination of TDS by TDS meter and evaporation method.
* Determination iron content by HACH kits or by spectrophotometer.
* Determination of free and total chlorine using HACH colorimeter.
* Determination of calcium or magnesium hardness by EDTA titration.
* Determination of turbidity using HACH turbidimeter.

F. Well Activities:
* CO2 and H2S analysis.
* Follow up Corrosion inhibitors and H2S scavenger injection.

G. Sewage treatment.

* Chemical injection
* Follow up operation
