PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
July 1983: Kuwait National Petroleum Company, (KNPC), Kuwait,
Presently working in Operations Training Cell in Shuaiba Refinery last seven years as trainer in operations department training cell.
Joined as field operator in Hydrocracker Units.
Major job involves:
1. Training for field operators, Preparing Annual Training Plan, Getting approval, Conducting refresher training, Arranging faculties from various departments, Evaluation, maintaining the record. Training includes equipments operations like Instrumentation, Process description, special procedures, startup / Shutdown procedures / Emergency procedures, Health, Safety, Environment, Ethics, pump, compressors, distillation columns, Exchangers etc.
2. Updating of units operating manuals: Updating of operations procedures, writing special procedures, getting approval and implementation of the procedures.
3. Preparing shutdown procedure, start up procedure; sign up formats and check-list for the start up and etc.
4. Rollout ISO-9001, ISO-14001 and safety observation etc.
5. Preparing for the Mock-drill, Major Incident Preparedness Procedure (MIPP) and emergency scenarios, Annual plan, conducting pre-drill meeting, Execute scenario, Post-drill meeting, maintaining records and implementation of gap analysis.
6. Super user of Maintance work request (MWR) and Desk Top Requisition (DTR) using MAXIMO software program and End users trainer.
7. Development, implementation and Maintenance of Operational and Technical Tasks in Efficient Rounds (OTTER).
8. Conducted / Attended Risk Based Investigation (RBI) conducted by M/s Shell Global, HAZOP conducted by M/s. Risktech (M/S. Shell), Work Permit Risk Assessments (WPRA), Closing of Near-miss report, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Change of management (MOC), Initiate Project Modification Request (PMR), Follow-up Business Process (BP), Safety Performance Audit (SPA), Work Permit Audit etc.
9. Working in Hydrocracker Units. (ISOCRACKER UNIT & ISOMAX UNIT). Processes are licensed by M/s. Chevron, USA having capacity to process 46,000 BPD of Gas-oil as a feed stock and aiming to convert maximum to JP-5. Side products are High Pour Diesel, Off-Gas, Naphtha, Acid-Gas and Unconverted Gas-oil to process in the second stage of Hydrocracker (ISOMAX) Unit. Process involves in Hydro-cracking, Hydro-desulfurization etc. and the product is separated in various stages of depressurization, stripping and Fractionation.
10. Shutdown Activities: Attending shutdown meeting, preparing shutdown procedures for handing over of equipment, system, Instruments etc. Preparing the special shutdown requirement blind-list and follow-up. Training to the person who involves in shutdown activities. Preparing the shutdown projects handing-over for maintenance, commissioning procedures of projects and P&IDs Updating.
11. Having special experience of after-war restoration of both Isocracker and Isomax units. Involving in updating / reporting of day to day maintenance activities progress, Follow up with the schedule to achieve the target date. Involved in handing-over / taking over equipments, piping, instruments etc.
12. Fully involved in online commissioning of New Central Control Room (CCR) with TDC3000 DCS System of Honeywell.

January 1991: Reliance Petrochemicals Limited, Hazira, Surat, Gujarat, India. Worked as Panel Officer, commissioned Poly-Vinyl Chloride (PVC) process licensed by BF Goodrich, USA having capacity to produce 250,000 MTPA of PVC using VCM. (During the Iraqi Invasion in Kuwait)

Joined as Trainee plant operator.
Worked in Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB) Plant. Having capacity to produce 24000 MTPA of LAB using Kerosene as feed. Process licensed by UOP, USA. Involves: HYDROBON, MOLEX, PACOL and ALKYLATION sections. The Major operations involves like: Hot oil Heater, Molecular sieve Extraction Process, Hydrofluoric Acid (Catalyst), H2S Handling, HP Make up and Recycle Gas Compressors, Distillation Columns, Cooling tower, etc. Where I worked during the Project stage, pre-commissioning activities, commissioning, Startup, Shutdown and Emergency Handling, Trouble shoots etc.
