* Successful participation as Frequency Planning Engineer in three wide retuning projects for BaWa iDEN Sprint-Nextel network (Northeast Region) during the National Re-banding Project. Specific and sophisticated Excel based tools were developed and used in post-processing interference matrix files and radio configuration data files as well. As result, a 10:1 drastic post-processing time reduction was achieved. An accurate and concise executive report was given any time a new retune scenario was requested. Other activities and duties performed were: Manual frequency assignments (manual retunes). Radio channels deletes analysis (BR deletes) and over-planned channels tracking.

* Among the well known technical skills and telecommunications knowledge baggage that any telecom professional should have to succeed in the wireless telecommunications world, this position required me also to develop and improve a strong financial, administrative, regulatory, logistics and human resources understanding. Those reinforces allowed me to deal and succeed with most of the challenges taken with Nextel de Mexico (a NII Holdings partner). For example, the annual Design Review (network planning perspective) was successfully developed during five continuous years. All network services and core network elements were included. Network inventory, capacity exhausting analysis, technology roadmap, coverage expansion projects, ROI analysis, budget expenses and constraints were included as well. In the project management area and budget administration duties, 95% to 98% of capital investment requested was spent and 100% of planned projects were achieved with 95% of them under the planned execution time frame. Regarding regulatory issues, excellent support was given to achieve SOX PWC certification on Interconnect processes. In the project management area and specifically on core infrastructure expansion projects; I¡¦m proud of have had an outstanding participation in designing, planning, equipment procurement and on-site supervision of the ¡* RSO Tijuana¡¨. This specific project was considered of top high importance due to its shared coverage service area and bi-national investments. Like RSO Tijuana I had a relevant participation on MSO2 (Tlalnepantla) project. Currently, this MSO is the neural switching center of Nextel the Mexico. Another example of vision and commitment was the evaluation and introduction of Scotty. This platform is an iDEN Airgen RF interface whose purpose is to serve as front end for RF and network engineers; who can submit and administrate trough it, the diverse work orders for changes, expansion and optimization of the iDEN RF infrastructure. Nowadays this platform is the core business for those areas. On the quality assurance side, my area had the responsibility of generate, process, maintain and update ¡* STATS¡¨ the main traffic and performance statistics platform developed by my team. Any statistical analysis needed for capacity purpose or to support new projects was based on data from this source and every network engineer based his reports on this amazing tool.
