BG EXPLORATION & PRODUCTION INDIA LTD. (BGEPIL) Dec. 1995 - Present
The parent company, BG is in the business of oil and gas exploration and production, transmission and distribution, LNG terminals and power generation. In India, BGEPIL is operating jointly with ONGC and Reliance. Joint venture has two operating assets; Panna-Mukta and Tapti. Besides this tie-up, BG also has business tie-ups with Mahanagar Gas Ltd and Gujarat Gas Company Ltd in India.
ASSET INTEGRITY MANAGER (June 2006 - Current)
* Organised workshop on Asset Integrity for Indian operating companies. This was first ever workshop on Asset Integrity in India. There were around 100+ participants from various organisations including ONGC, Cairn Energy India Pty Ltd., BP, RIL, Essar, Niko Resources Ltd., DNV, Bureau Veritas, IADC, Detector Electronics, GGCL, MGL, BJ, Aker Kvaerner Power Gas and others.
* Devised philosophy to ensure that BGEPIL Asset Integrity is fit for purpose and is in line with the BG Standards.
* Developed Pipeline Integrity Management Philosophy, Topside Structural Integrity Management Philosophy and Strategy for addressing Corrosion under Insulation.
* Introduced newer technologies like LRUT and Auto scanning to replace conventional UT measurement. At present, I am evaluating techno-commercial benefits of PET, Intelligent Pigging and innovative repair solutions like Spider Wrap.
* Routine work includes setting up and implementing an annual in-house calendar for Asset Integrity Audit, reviewing on a monthly basis the compliance with Asset Integrity Strategy through Asset Integrity Indicators, liaising with Principal Production Technologist to ensure Integrity of Wellheads and presenting India Management Team the status of asset integrity on bi-monthly basis.
* Custodian of Risk Based Inspection strategy, ensuring continuous review and updation of the strategy and consequent activities.
* Custodian of Change Management, Risk Management and Safety Critical Element Override Management.
* Owner of technical standards pertaining to asset integrity, and ensuring their application.

PROJECT ENGINEER (May 2005 - May 2006)
* Played a key role in an integrated team for the capacity enhancement brownfield project; managed the responsibilities of Process Engineer, Project Engineer and Shut-down Coordinator.
* As Project Engineer:
o Involved in various project audits as required by Value Assurance Framework and Project Delivery Assurance System.
o Managed and reviewed work carried out by external engineering consultants.
o Involved in development of project execution plan ensuring that resources, Organograms, schedules and contract strategies were appropriate.
o Involved in tendering and evaluation of design, construction and procurement contracts.
o Developed and maintained project risk management register.
o Liaised with operations team to ensure that handover of systems was planned and managed effectively.
o Developed a clear, coherent and consistent execution plan.

o Formulating pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures of the platform and executing them with operations support.
* As Shut-down Coordinator, handled following responsibilities:
o Involved in Shutdown Review audits by expertise in the BG Group.
o Established readiness of full production shutdown on offshore oil and gas central processing platform as per OSCAR Tool.
o Managed interface effectively and prepared integrated shutdown plan including activities of operations, maintenance, construction, inspection and production engineering.
o Prepared detailed Shutdown Management Plan with clearly defined procedures and responsibilities.
o Ensured that the shutdown plan remains workable and achievable within given time frame.
ACHIEVEMENTS
* Effectively delivered project in terms of technical scope, costs, execution strategy and duration.
* Played an integral role in handling all aspects of operational functions during FEED along with managing detailed engineering. Ensured effective interface of Operations with Projects during FEED.
* One of the most complex and difficult shutdown of the asset was coordinated successfully setting up new standards in entire BG Group.
* Led Operations team for successful pre-commissioning and commissioning of the platform after mechanical completion of the systems.

MAINTENANCE PLANNING ENGINEER (Oct. 2003 to Apr. 2005)
* Handled planning of maintenance activities on offshore installations, which included vendor coordination, interface management between production and supply chain, and coordinating operations projects.
* Deputed as Module Lead for the implementation of Plant Maintenance module of SAP, making BGEPIL the first division in the entire BG Group to implement this module. Successfully met all project milestones without compromising on quality at any level.
* Led a group of engineers for the successful completion of Topside Risk Based Inspections for processing platform and few wellheads in PPA.
* Handled and executed several operations¡¦ projects such as Glycol Reboiler Backpressure Reduction, Tapti Non-Destructive Inspections of Topside Piping and New Flow-arm installation.
* Produced and maintained cost effective operations budget. Also prepared the operations budget for both offshore installations up to the year 2019.
ASSISTANT MANAGER (Tapti Processing Platform) (Apr. 2002 - Sep. 2003)
* Reporting to OIM, supervised a team of operations technicians, responsible for day to day planning and safe execution of routine planned and corrective operations and maintenance activities. Handled production, safety and maintenance departments at the offshore production facility.
* Responsible for staff management and competency development, ensured that team members were motivated and continually developing their skills and competencies. Initiated multi-skill activities and knowledge sharing forums.
* Completed the Topside Risk Based Inspection of Tapti platform and all wellheads. Developed inspection plans and methodology in consultation with third party consultant.
* Reviewed and amended the maintenance philosophy and undertaken inventory control to reduce operating costs.
* As Management Representative, acquired ISO 14001 certification in the specified time frame.
* Initiated the Behavior Based Safety program to bring further improvement in safety standards.
* Core team member in preparation of safety case of the installation and contributed in preparing procedures for Emergencies and Task Risk Assessment of various activities on the platform.
