I am passionate mining and collecting minerals. I was a co-founder of the Galician Mine Society and President from 1998 to 2004. This required presentation and leadership skills and also team work. The society provided tours of mines and exhibitions of minerals.

I wrote a chapter, 'Minerals of Galicia' (Minerales de Galicia) which was published (ed.R Nuche del Rivero 2004 Patrimonio geologico de Galicia ENRESA Madrid).
