I have acquired wide knowledge on current gas turbine technology. I have expertise myself in engine thermodynamic performance modeling and CFD simulations.

Individual Research (M.Sc Thesis):
Title – AVIC Group Design and Design and Analysis of High Bypass ratio fans.
* Interaction between international students and AVIC experts to develop a common core suitable for short range and long civil aircraft.
* Working as a team, did the optimization of thermodynamic performance, thrust estimations and weight estimations.
* Turbomachinery designing for common core as per industry standards.
* Main engineer to do aerodynamic designing of fan for the common core.
* Designing and analyzing the flow pattern through this fan with commercially available CFD tools; CFX and Fluent. Meshing was done in ANSYS Turbo-grid.
* Excellent design results achieved. A rotor isentropic efficiency of 90.5 % achieved.
Hands on Experience – Aerodynamic fan design and CFD
* Fan designed with two characteristics and variable work input spanwise.
* Challenges analyzed for this low hub-to-tip fan throughout span.
* Through Flow analysis to obtain prescribed mass flow rate.
* Blade-to-blade analysis with DCA profiles to obtain designed pressure ratios.
* Meridional sectional drawing and designing in ANSYS Bladegen.
* CFD design by analysis approach in CFX.
