Work Experience:
April 2008 to present: Vice President of Engineering and Field Developments, Aladdin Oil and Gas group of companies. Aladdin is the owner and operator of two Russian Oil Companies: Geotechnologia in the Komi Republic and OrNefteGaz in the Orenburg Oblast.

April 2006 to April 2008: Director General, OOO Geotechnologia, city of Ukhta, Komi Republic, RF. Responsible for the continuing development and day to day operation of the company and its 1300 km2 oil and gas licenses. The company has 70 employees and runs two drilling rigs. The company is still in the exploration stage, but with gas and oil field discoveries under development.

March 2004 to April 2006: Operations Manager, Burren Energy, Turkmenistan.
The Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of the operational and construction activities of Burren's onshore PSA area in Nebidag, Turkmenistan. Daily oil production is about 20,000 bbl/d of crude oil. The operation has a $50,000,000 yearly budget and is staffed by 60 expats and approximately 1000 local employees. A new oil and gas processing plant, water injection plant and tank farm have been constructed during the last year, in addition to a very heavy schedule of workovers and new drilling.

January 2003 – March 2004: Director General OOO Geotechnologia, City of Ukhta, Russian Federation. OOO Geotechnologia is 100% western owned exploration and Production company with two large (1300 Km2) exploration and production licenses in the Komi Republic. Directed a small team of geologists, geophysicists, engineers and accountants in setting up the company's operations both in the office and the field. Directed contract negotiations for drilling, construction, seismic and other services. Negotiate with the other oil operators to gain access to infrastructure in the area. Work closely with the government ministries and agencies with respect to natural resources law, license obligations, health & safety and environmental regulations.

November 2001 – January 2003: Oil and Gas Consultant, Rotset Limited, Evaluating investment opportunities for Western oil companies in the Komi Republic.
Principal Representative in Russia for Larchbay T&C Limited of Cyprus (a group of Norwegian investors). Evaluated, negotiated, purchased, and reorganized a Russian oil company, OOO Geotechnologia.

2001, January to November: Director General, J.V. AmKomi Ltd, and Project Manager, APCOL Ltd. AmKomi was a Russian subsidiary of Aminex Plc of London, and operator of nine (9) onshore licenses in the Komi Republic, one of which was classed as a major field. AmKomi was a fully self sufficient oil company with its own drilling and workover division, construction and transport division, warehousing, manufacturing and repair facilities. In addition to AmKomi's 280 Russian employees, the company also employed a group of expatriate specialists engaged in the development of the company's licenses. AmKomi Ltd was sold to LukOil in May of 2001. I was asked to stay on with LukOil to facilitate a smooth transition until they took over the operation in November 2001.

1999 – 2001: Acting Director General of AmKomi Ltd, Project Manager for APCOL ltd and Principal Representative in Komi Republic for Aminex Plc. I was responsible for all of AmKomi's development and operations activities, as well as managing APCOL's Project Team of expatriates and Russian specialists in the development of the Kirtayel Oil and Gas Condensate field. This included planning, procurement and construction of a new 30,000 bbl/d oil treatment plant, gas processing plant, tank farm, pump/metering export facility and pipelines, as well as the ongoing drilling of new wells to 3000m.

1995 – 1999: Project Manager and Vice President of APCOL Ltd, a Subsidiary of Aminex Plc. Directed the re-design and negotiated contracts for procurement and re-construction of an existing 30,000 bbl/d oil and gas process and storage facility, camp and infrastructure. Coordinated the planning and design work of the Pechora NIPI Neft design institute and Canadian engineering consultants. The project was financed and monitored by the World Bank/IFC, applying all their requirements for Health & Safety and Environmental Protection. Directed the ongoing operations of AmKomi's eight other licenses with special emphasis on improving the management, health and safety procedures, drilling procedures, contract management and workovers. Re-designed, negotiated contracts, and built a completely new 8000 bbl/day oil treatment plant, water disposal and oil sales facility for 40% of the design institute's original cost estimate.

1990 - 1995: Production Director East Midland Oil and Gas Limited (EMOG), UK. (a subsidiary of Fortune Oil of Hong Kong / London) Managed the day to day operation of the company and was responsible for the development of all of east Midland's oil and gas properties. The UK onshore operations were very demanding in terms of planning, approvals and environmental point of view, especially with high H2S concentrations in the produced gas.

1980 - 1990: Production Engineer, Ranchmen's Resources Ltd, Alberta, Canada. Managed approximately 50 % of Ranchmen's operated, and joint venture properties, in Western Canada. Prepared work programs and budgets for drilling and workovers and managed/supervised both drilling and workover operations. Responsible for safety and H2S awareness on the sites. Developed several new oil and gas fields and designed and installed production facilities.

1978 – 1980: Assistant Engineer, Canadian Western Natural Gas Company, Alberta, Canada. Assisted the Chief Planning Engineer in preparing strategic plans for the company's gas transmission system, gas contract, compression facilities and gas storage fields. Carried out large scale transient computer simulation of CWNG's pipeline network, including two large gas storage fields and several Trans Canada Pipelines interconnections. Determined present capacity and future requirements.

Was in charge of gas production and gas field operations during the last year with the company. This included two large 40 and 25 BCF gas storage fields and gas plants with over 10 000 HP gas driven compressors together with a number of smaller gas/gas condensate producing fields throughout Alberta.

1974 – 1978: Engineering Assistant, Canadian Western Natural Gas Company, Calgary, Alberta, engaged in planning, budgeting, permitting, construction and operating of gas transmission pipelines, compressor stations and gas field installations.

1970 – 1974: Laboratory Supervisor, Inter Company Oil and Gas laboratory, Canadian Western Natural Gas and North Western Utilities in Alberta, Canada. Supervised the routine gas and liquids analysis. Carried out special projects and research related to gas production, treatment, transmission, distribution and utilization.

Was engaged in the first trials of Fuel Cell Technology in domestic houses under the guidance of the Institute of Gas Technology in Chicago.

Was credited with inventing a new laboratory instrument using a catalytic converter for determination of H2S and other sulfur compounds in natural gas. The instrument was further tested and developed at the Institute of Gas Technology in Chicago.
