„a Deuterium Oxide Extraction Unit consisting of 20 huge columns provided with cross flow type sieve trays, multi down comer trays, 90 heat exchangers, 75 high capacity pumps associated with various instruments like PT, FT, DPT, LT and with auto operated valves, Double disc gate valves (SDV),Rupture disks.
„a Raw Water Pre-Treatment Plant, Dm water, High pressure steam generation, H2S Generation & Liquefaction unit, Distillation Unit, Nitrogen Plant, Compressed Air Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant, cooling water, fire water& Flare system.
* Participation in erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning activities and operation of all the above units.
* Comprehensive knowledge in startup/shut down of above units.

Brief experience - Plant Description (Khammam Chemical Refinery)
Deuterium Extraction Unit
Two streams operating at 20 Kg/Cm2, each designed for separation of Deuterium Oxide by H2S ¡V H2O Chemical Exchange Process based on difference of boiling points. It is designed with more advanced and sophisticated distillation technology as the difference of boiling points is 10 C only. Each stage consists of huge columns equipped with sieve trays. Unit is controlled remotely by Central Control System since uses huge quantity of hazardous H2S gas.
Pre-Treatment Plant
One of Asia's biggest plant, designed to treat 5200 M3/hr of raw water having a turbidity of 1500 NTU during monsoon by Sedimentation, Coagulation & Flocculation, Clarification, and Filtration for use as Industrial Water and separate treatment for Potable Water with Disinfection.
Demineralisation plant
SIX chain each 300 M3/Hr capacity. Weak Acid Cation bed, Strong Acid CationBed, Deggasser, Weak anion bed, Strong anion bed, Vacuum deaeration.
Compressed Air Plant
Five numbers of Reciprocating Compressors to supply Plant Air, Instrument Air, to main plant & utilities and Scram Air to control valves, Shutdown valves, etc. (2050 NM3/hr).
Nitrogen Plant
Designed to produce & liquefy Nitrogen and supply gaseous Nitrogen for purging of vessels & towers, and as sealant to the terminal valves by air liquification and separation.
Cooling water Plant
Induced Draft Cooling Tower consisting Eight Cells handling 34,400 M3/hr water for cooling which is used in process plant to maintain the temperature of hot tower (1300 C) & cold tower (300 C) by heat exchangers.
High pressure steam generation
Capacity 265 tonns /hr at the operating pressure of 105 kg/cm2. and 485 degree centigrade and the auxiliary units operation
Refrigeration Unit
Consisting six units each using 2650 Tr of capacity to reduce the temperature up to 100 C of 3785 M3/hr water to supply to heat exchangers in process & distillation units.
H2S Generation Unit
Producing, Liquefying, and storing high purity H2S gas for use as carrier gas in process plant for enrichment of deuterium oxide from feed water.
Vacuum Distillation Unit
Consists of Four Distillation Columns operating at 120 mm Hg abs; for enrichment of D2O.
Effluent Treatment Plant
Treating 1000 M3/hr process drain water having contaminants includes Aeration & Chlorination
Sealent System
To provide sealing medium to valves & Pumps to arrest leakage of (H2S) contaminated fluid in it. We are using Pump sealant (30 kg/cm2). LP/HP
(42/62 kg/cm2).
Fire Water System
The requirement of fire water is for fire fighting purpose offsite units & LPG Bullets with maintain 10.0 kg/cm2 with 600 m3/hr capacity. And 4800 m3 reservoir capacity.
