Work Experience: 25 years' in Oil & Gas Industry – Six year offshore & Eighteen years onshore operations.

BP Oman Oct 2008 till Today
Working as Operations Management System (OMS) Implementation Coordinator and responsible for OMS implementation in Middle East & Pakistan Region.

BP Pakistan 2ndApril 1989 till Oct 2008

BP Pakistan produces about 50% of Pakistan's oil, in addition to 10% of Gas production from its Concession. This on-shore block is spread in an area of 7500 sq. km. The operation consists of three major gas facilities, two Oil / Gas facilities, six oil facilities, few Early Testing Facilities and remote testing facilities.

During the last 19 years' with this organization, have performed on various positions of Operations Management including Field Production Manager, Production Superintendent, Production Team Leader, Delivery Unit Leader, Operations Support Team Leader. Have also lead "Injection Excellence Program" since Jan 2004 till Feb 2007.

Since Feb 2007, have taken the challenging responsibility of "Operations Capability Development Team Leader". The main accountabilities in this role are Competency Management & Assurance of Operators, Technicians & Field Leadership, and also leading "Surface Staff Development & Deployment Net work" ( SDDN ).

The responsibilities during my 19 years' career with BP Pakistan are summarized as under:

HSE
* Developed a methodology to perform Risk Assessment for un-manning of small oil processing & handling Facilities.
* A key participant in HAZOP studies and facilitate PHSERs.
* Develop SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) & ERPs( Emergency Response Procedures).
* Developed and implemented SAFE card program which is similar to STOP.
* Revamped entire "Management of Change" process and developed a procedure along with a web based Tracking tool which covers MoC requirements of all discipline including Operations, HR, subsurface, organizational change, policies & procedures etc.
* Implement and train staff on Eight Golden safety rules.
* Demonstrate "Safety first" behavior as leader by conducting Advanced Safety Audits, GCMs and planned inspections, setting targets, tracking results and rewarding desired behavior.

Training & Development:
* Have taken BP Pakistan to a level in Competency Management & Assurance within a year which has set an example for other Assets in BP, started from scratch & attained 80% CMAS compliance in 16 months time.
* A rich operations experience helps in identifying & developing training needs.
* Out of the box ideas for Operators / Technician development & training.
* Introduced and developed the first OJT (On the job training) module in BP Pakistan for Operators.
* Capable of tapping in house resources for training & development. Had 15 Training Modules developed through in house resources for CMAS Fundamental Elements and these were developed in just 3 Months time.
* Organized 22 back to back sessions for Fundamental training to cover 232 Operators/ Technicians, Completed the entire program in 5 Months which is a remarkable achievement.
* Lead a project to develop 150 CMAS Training plans (Training & assessment document) and had these completed within six months in a very cost effective & time efficient manner.
* Got 44 Assessors & 2 Master assessors trained for timely completion of CMAS.
* Conducted several sessions of case studies for CMAS Assessors.
* Lead Panel interview sessions for Site Leaders Competency assessments & generate reports on Gaps & development plans.
* Trained various levels of operators by giving them On –the- Job assignments during Normal Operations, for trouble shooting, commissioning & TARs.
* Identify training needs for Operators and focused on their development both on HSE & Process Operation.
* Working in close coordination with Field training coordinator & Field Operations to upgrade training modules and organized training sessions.

Teamwork
* Managing and leading a team of over 150 employees.
* Groom operation staff to take new challenges by assigning them smaller independent projects like commissioning, shut down plans, assurance of water quality, chemical optimization, production optimization, efficiency improvement etc.
* Evaluate training needs of the team members and plan trainings for their career growth.
* Work with different disciplines during Shut downs, commissioning of oil & Gas Facilities and Turn-Around for safe shutdowns & commissioning.
* Keep the team highly motivated by having close contact and rewarding good ideas.
* Ensure good teamwork amongst office / team staff and other departments.
* Conduct periodic formal / informal sessions with staff to identify any problem areas regarding coordination, work with other departments, to enhance teamwork.

Production and Growth
* A specialist approach in optimization & defect elimination.
* Developed road map for injection Excellence program in Bp Pakistan. After completing first successful year of Injection Excellence, the injection efficiency of two major water injection Fields has increased by 43% despite a six fold decrease in stimulation cost but without spending any Capex.
* Develop plant commissioning procedures, supervise the pre-commissioning, commissioning activities and monitor commissioning Team performance.
* Hands on experience to run Oil & Gas facilities which include, Oil & Gas well commissioning, Gas Dehydration, Oil, Gas & produced water treatment, metering, custody transfer, crude oil loading etc
* Study plant constraints and suggest modifications to improve efficiency of Oil, Gas and Produced water treatment process and equipment.
* Ensure PU's production Targets are met effectively and efficiently with absolutely NO compromise on HSE.
* Improvise and innovate to remove bottlenecks on the administrative and technical sides.
* Conduct Pressure drop surveys to de-bottleneck the system and improve production efficiency.
* Developed plan for technology deployment (Tracer & Bright water) for Water Flood.
* Implemented e- choke & i- choke, a process to track losses and actions to minimize losses.
* Focus on critical success factors such as Safety, production targets, lifting cost, teamwork, improved safety and improved asset integrity, production loss, production optimization etc.
* Evaluate and provide input on plant expansion, improvements and upgrade projects.

TOTAL (ABK ) & Dubai petroleum Company 1981- 1987
TOTAL & Dubai Petroleum Co, are E& P and operating off shore, containing oil & Gas gathering & treatment system, Gas injection, Gas lift, compressors & crude transfer etc.

o TOTAL (ABK), a French Company operating in Abu Dhabi (UAE) offshore for about 3 years as Process Operator.
o CONOCO, an American Oil Company operating in Offshore Dubai (Dubai Petroleum company) for about 3 years as Process Operator.

Hands on experience of running offshore production platforms with capacity ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 bopd including gas compressor (20 mmscfd), oil wells, production / test separators, gas Gensets, Fuel gas skids, TEG gas dehydration, oil treatment system, panel operations and various equipment associated in process.
Planning, arrangements & supervision of day-to-day operation, production optimization, maintenance activities, maintenance shutdowns and erection of new equipment etc.
