Present job responsibilities
-Reporting to Commissioning Manager.
-Responsible to develop in detailed pre-commissioning and commissioning of procedures according to instruction of Commissioning Manager.
-Assure the piping activities such as flushing/blowing/blasting, reinstatement of piping components and local instruments, leak test are duly performed in accordance with the stated procedures, inertisation, in conformity with the sa¬fety rules and as per instruction of Commissioning Manager.
-Assure activities relevant to machinery such as motor run-in, machinery run-in are according to stated procedures.
-Static equipment such as inspections, cleaning, and internal installation, box-up & carried out according to procedures.
-Organize and manage operation of assigned team by controlling their job and implementation of Plant Safety procedure.
-Keep records of all activities performed in the logbook.
-Produce the certificates, duly signed by involved parties, and hand over to the certification engineer.
-Checks safety conditions for maintenance team before issuing Work Permits
Verify and check the condition of safety devices.
- Attending to morning meeting with client to communicate day activities.
-Attending to evening rep up internal commissioning team meeting to report day activities and next day's planning.

Detailed Activities in P D H Plant –NATPET
-Completed systems, sub systems/package units takeover from Construction
Team through Commissioning Manager
-P&ID, PFD check, make punch points of any missing/additional or uncompleted jobs.
-Modification/ adjustments to be made to match the specifications as per P&ID and Vendor Drawings. Get it done by Construction team, based on that, if any changes are required, ¬¬¬¬¬ Update/correction on P&ID.
-Preparation of Procedures for cleaning (Flushing/Blowing, Blasting), Tightness Test, Inertisation, calibration, loading of catalysts and chemicals etc.
-Before starting cleaning activities isolate all instruments, replace all control valves with shim or spool, Remove all TI and blind, and remove internals from check valves
-After completion of cleaning activities install them in respective positions.
-Piping bigger than 20" inspection through manholes or other entry possibilities, if required cleaning will be carried out mechanically
-In the mean time sending PSV's for bench test, Orifices/Compact orifices for race facing to box up them after cleaning activities.
-Carried out the above activities safely with witness of client as per procedures up to the satisfaction of the client.
-Static equipment inspections along with UOP and Client, required Cleaning, internal installation, box-up carried out according to procedures.
-Supervise and co-ordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
-Performed by subcontractor or direct hire labor force
-Responsible for the site pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for the specific/allotted area in respect of safety, quality, schedule and cost.
-Final inspection before box-up vessel with UOP and Client to ensure internals are in correct ori-entation as per specification of vendor drawings.
-Clearing the Punch points concerned by clients.
-Supporting to vendor activities.
-Walk through on completed jobs and any missing punch points.
-Post Pre Start up Safety Review. Pre Start up Safety Review (P S S R) with client.
-Preparation of documents for completed jobs, taking acceptance/witness signatures of Client. Close out of Punch points. P S S R close out. Inertisation.
-Test run with Nitrogen, Cold dry out, Hot dry out to remove moisture from system, vacuuming, Inventorying of Hydrocarbons, removal of nitrogen through vent to flare, Dry out of hydrocarbons, commissioning of allotted systems.
-Monitoring the operations of allotted systems -Boilers, Reactors, Fired Heaters, CCR, Fractionation section, Cold box, Reactor effluent compressor, Reactor effluent driers, Refrigeration system, Sub systems, etc., From DCS Control room
-Physical observation on field for any abnormalities, leakages, vibrations, Potential fires, parameters mismatch on DCS and field, attend the problems with the coordination of Maintenance/Instrument/electrical people. Clean/replace the Pump suction strainers or Filter cartridges depend up on the limit of differential pressure. Refill the oil seal/bearing oil to maintain the required oil levels.
-Logs all Plant readings and logs daily activities in main logbook.
-Normal/Emergency shutdown activities & carried out planned shutdown activities during shutdown period for re startup.
-Operates various communications such as VHF radios, telephones.
-Understands, prepares and monitors all types of work permits in all locations under the directions of the Commissioning Manager.

-Punch list, Batt¬ery limit Blind list, Blind list Temporary, and Lock list.
-Test Registers: Piping, Instrumentation, Stationary and Rotary Equipments, PSV.
-Record Sheets: Equipment, Cleaning, Tightness, PSV, Inertisation, record sheets.

SHP (The Huels Selective Hydrogenation) Reactor, Deethanizer Stripper Column,

Sub systems/Package Units: Sulfur injection system (D.M.D.S), Caustic Soda system, Chlorination system, Vent gas treating system, Neutralization system,
