Sr. Maritime inspector

A- In charge for Port State / Flag State inspection of foreign / local vessels on implementation IMO conventions to: SOLAS-74 / MARPOL 73-78 / LOAD LINES / COLREG / STCW/ ISPS CODE.
Job detail:
1- Inspect the vessel's hull for high corrosion, dents, metal cracks, welding cracks, broken rivets and erosive thickness.
2- Inspect ship's documents and statuary certificates ; safety management system, document of compliance and international ship port security code.
3- Inspect all life saving appliance with test.
4- Inspect all fire fighting equipment with the test of equipment.
5- Inspect all the parts of the vessel (making tour ) i-e all inside of bridge containing electrical and electronic devices, cargo holds, tanks, accommodation (crew life), engine compartment, emergency generator and emergency steering gear.

B- In charge in investigation the Maritime Casualties.
C- Team leader for Oil Pollution recovery and clean up using Oil Pollution boat upon incidents. As well as making daily oil pollution patrol inside the port.
D- Acting Manger, when G.M on leave or out side the country.

Specialist Marine rank on Floating Storage Offloading vessel (G.T 192,673 m.t)

- Supervise and co-ordinate 1st line maintenance of all ballast/cargo tanks, cargo storage and offloading system.
- Undertake other duties as required by the operations and safety Supervisor.
- Maintain cargo and ballast equipment including pump room, ullage gauges, inert gas valves, COW machines, hoses etc.
- Maintain the Oil Record Book in accordance with MARPOL regulations.
- Calculate oil production figures, crude stock and storage capacity and prepare data for input to daily report.
- Record tank ullages, water / oil interfaces, take tank temperature and crude oil samples as required by the operations and safety Supervisor.
- Ensure that the FPSO permissible shear forces and bending moments are not exceeded.
- Performs the duties of the Helicopter Landing Officer.
- Co-ordinate and carry out discharge of produced water from cargo/ballast tanks.
- Carry out tank washing and gas freeing operations and supervise tank entry operations.
- Supervise tank repair crews and department members, and ensure target completion days are met. Optimize the use tank repair crews, plan/coordinate with tank repair supervisor's repair plans, materials required and filling in data in the daily tank report.
- Perform gas test and isolations as per permit to work and confined space entry permits.
- Plan, co-ordinate and supervise discharge of oil to shuttle tanker and safety perform off take operations.
- Maintain lifting gear register and carne log book.
- Supervise maintenance of all facility's lifting equipment including off take equipment, mooring hawser, cranes and crane wires.
- Assist in the training and development of personnel as required by operations & safety Supervisor.
HSE Duties
- Provide first line emergency response and lead FPSO fire team.
- Supervise and co-ordinate marine or safety equipment related contractors.
- Co-ordinate the familiarization with all safety equipment by crew members & contractors.
- Control and manage the safe and efficient materials handling to /from supply vessels.
- Control and manage all marine activities with respect to safe and efficient bunkering operations from supply vessels in conjunction with maintenance department.
- Conduct all Marine Department safety meetings and Facility general safety meeting in accordance with Management System.
- Participate in pre & post-off take briefing.
- Assume the role of safety for operations in any emergency situation.
- Carry out all duties safety during off take mooring operations.
- Fully familiarization with Tank Operations procedures in particular Tank Entry Operations, Crude Oil washing Operations, Water Washing of Cargo and Slop Tanks, Purging and Gas Freeing Operations, in accordance with Management System Procedures.
- Ensure that department daily operations are performed in compliance with the applicable Management System procedures, work instructions, regulatory compliance and within the envelope of the Safety Management System.
- Ensure that whenever there is a potential for risk of injury to personnel, that a Job Safety Analysis is written in accordance with Management System Procedure.
- Ensure temporary work instructions when required are written in accordance with Management System Procedure.
- Carry out Safety Inductions in accordance with the schedule and criteria stated within Management System Procedure.
- Ensure a complete familiarization with the Facility Permit to Work procedures and the requirements for generating and using the various permits for Cold Work, Hot Work and Confined Space Entry, etc.
- Report all accidents, hazards incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in regular musters, drills and exercises as per the FPSO Exercises schedule.
- Carry out emergency response duties in accordance with FPSO Emergency Response Plan.
- Supervise and inspect the shuttle tanker at the pilot station before mooring operations for her readiness to loading operations.
- Team leader Oil Spill recovery.. Clean up operations using barges, tug and helicopter dispersant pod.
