PARCO is a joint venture between governments of Pakistan and United Arab Emirates and is the operator of 2000-Km long oil transportation pipelines network and Pakistan's largest Oil refinery. A digital Microwave system (26 MW Sites) and an OFC (24 Fiber) run along the pipeline for its control and monitoring.
Telecom Engineer
June 2004 to till date Pak Arab Piepline company (PAPCO)
After more than 8 years services in Parco's fields I was transferred to Karachi and assigned to supervise 817 km long, 24 fibers OFC laying, installation, testing and commissioning of SDH/PDH. Developed detail documentation of network designs, engineering standards, and methods of operation.
Participated in vendor management (including vendor and platform selection), interaction with network equipment suppliers for feature enhancements, resolution of equipment problems, and software release management. Moreover the major responsibilities were as under;
* Ĵ Review optical fiber related submittals before implementation.
* ƒ¦ Reliability &/or Optical parameters testing of newly installed transmission systems, including physical inspection of Fiber Optic Cable (OFC) loops.

* ƒ¢ƒ~ Transferred at Faisalabad and was assigned to maintain whole north section, comprising of 10 new Microwave sites and four Terminal and Pumping stations. Modified/upgraded the system according to corporate's demands.
* ƒ¢ƒ¡ Participated in the development of policy and standards for network configuration management. Made recommendations for system/ equipment upgrades, or new product/service development.
* ĢĢ Implemented engineering activities to identify, analyze and reduce network costs and vulnerabilities.
* ƒ¡ Newbridge Multiplexers MainStreet 3600 were added to compress Voice, data and Video Conferencing.
* Ģ Installation, testing & commissioning of PLCs TI 545 & TI 555 based on Windows NT HMI's, using INTELLULATION/iFIX32 Software, to Monitor & Control different field instruments and devices of Pumping & Terminal Stations.
