Professional Experience
Over Seven (7) years of Electrical & Control design, operation and commissioning experience including Pre-design and design engineering, scope of work (SoW), quantity and cost estimation, procurement services, inspection services and quality procedures for Electrical works relating to major client projects for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical and heavy mental processing facilities including, Shell Canada Energy, Oil & Gas Development Corporation of Pakistan, Abraham Polyester Pakistan, Latrobe Steels Pennsylvania USA, Japan Steels works Japan, Villares Metals Brazil,. Directly participated in activities like;
* Generates Instrument Lists, Control Input/Output (I/O) Lists, Electrical Consumer Lists, Alarms and Set point Lists.
* Perform design calculations and prepare equipment or material specifications for electrical and electronic PLC/SCADA(Wonder ware, Citect, RSView) based systems
* Originates, in a timely manner, engineering specifications, instrument data sheets and material requisitions completely and clearly enough for the Purchasing Department to issue the required purchase orders
* Assisting in various phases of engineering design, configuration, integration and commissioning of Pumping & Compression stations for Oil and Gas pipeline projects, Petrochemical plants and Heavy industrial metal processing facilities using control software like RSLOGIX by AB(Control Logix5000), Siemens S7( 400,300 Series), In touch Wonder ware, Panel Builder, Delta V DCS system
* Knowledge of utility system practices, substation construction and maintenance techniques, protection operation, 3 phase 11 KV/480 V theory and operation, AC/DC controls, Substation automation, protection schemes using ABB RFM 610 software to calculate relay setting curves
* Proficient with ANSI, NESC, IEEE, NEC standards that apply to substation design, operation and maintenance
* Development of basic & detail engineering design documents including single line diagrams, hazardous area classification, power distribution system, grounding, load lists, data sheets, Specifications, cable schedule for power & control cables and schematic diagrams & layouts for electrical equipment
* Ability to maintain good communication and liaison with internal engineering groups, plant personnel, engineering / construction contractors, managing and coordinating the design effort and day to day site activities with contractors and plant production personnel in a safe and efficient manner.
* Developing instrument specifications of control valves, pressure safety valves, pressure/flow/Temperature/Flow instruments, in-line instruments and analyzer.
* Review of vendor packages against specifications (compliance statement), electrical equipment selection, technical support for procurement and single source justification
* Programming, Troubleshooting & maintenance of SIEMENS/Control Technique, Allen Bradley, Omron, SIMOVERT MASTER VFD DRIVES, RexRoth Servo drives rated up to 500hp.
