Analytical and experienced in the multiple phases of Directional Drilling with a proven history of success in working with both on-site and off-site team members. Accurately projecting to target coordinates, executing the necessary directional control, and documenting reports is my area of expertise. Directional Driller IV
Planning, set up, execution, and completion of all phases of directional drilling field operations. Directionally drilled in support of many different operators, utilizing many different types of rigs. Performing directional operations in numerous fields within North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. Experience includes:
* Drilling of horizontal wells performing multi-lateral sidetracks, "S" wells, "J" wells, and Vertical wells where deviation was an issue, with the ability to maintain directional control with various BHA's and bit selections.
* Control and monitoring of wellbore per well plan, calculating and projecting well path to target, identifying, communicating, and executing corrective actions where anti-collision issues exist.
* Operation and troubleshooting of positive displacement motors, MWD equipment, and other BHA components including VertiTrak and TruTrak operations.
* Proficient in the setting up and operation of surface monitoring equipment, the use of MWD tools, data reporting, spreadsheets, databases, and various plotting maps. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Internet and various surveying software.
* Worked many single operator jobs; some with trainees, and very familiar with long hours and extended tours. Safely preparing steerable BHA's to be RIH, supervising the operations in both rotary and slide modes; while running the necessary calculations, plotting, and creating up-to-date reports, to inspecting, lying down and shipping tools, and finally closing out job for a happy customer is my specialty.
* Received awards for "Flawless Execution" in both 2007 and 2008.
NABORS DRILLING USA, Houston, TX 2004-2005
Floorhand. Motorman. Derrickman.
Performed all required drilling and maintenance functions of above positions on Nabors 632. Key activities included:
* Use, inspection and maintenance of the following tools and equipment; Break-out and make-up tongs, slips and collar clamps, spinners, elevators, top drive, draworks, air wenches, rotating mousehole, static and dynamic rigging of drill rig, motors, pumps, agitators, shale shakers, compressors, boiler, accumulator, choke manifolds, SCR house, various water, oil, fuel and mud tanks, BOP stack, industrial vacuum, pressure washers, forklift, manlift, and bobcat, and the rig structure and outbuildings.
* Stabbing and racking drill stands on floor. Measuring and make up of bottomhole assemblies. Rig up and rig down of loggers, casers, lay down crews, cementers, and fishermen. Routine changing of oil, filters, and radiator fluids as needed for motors, pumps and compressors.
* Safe derrick board operations. Maintenance and repair of mud pumps. Mixing of mud and recording of mud weight and viscosity per mud engineers specs. Transferring of mud to tanks as specified. Accounting of gain/loss during trip- in, trip-out and circulation operations. Watch shakers for cuttings, sweeps, and flow. Rig down and rig up of rig upon completion of hole.
As safety captain was responsible for the daily safety training reports, JSA reviews, Hazard Hunts, Near Miss Reports, Stop cards, fall protection inspection, daily rig inspections, and H.S.E. Manual reviews, etc…

Self employed, licensed, and certified General Building Contractor. Responsible for the planning, estimating, contracting, scheduling, production, and management of numerous construction building projects.
* Worked in the building industry since 1988, starting as an apprentice, then a journeyman, to supervisor, and from 1995 to 2004 as a self employed Licensed General Building Contractor.
* Specialized in residential building construction including custom homes, historical restorations, multi-dwelling tenant improvements, seismic retrofits, additions, remodels, and repairs.
* A member and then president of the Idaho Teton Valley Builders Association.

Journeyman Rigger
Performed as a Journeyman Rigger in the maintenance, inspection, repair, and testing of cranes and associated rigging on the shipyard and the naval vessels it serviced. Received many outstanding performance awards.
