In partnership with BHP Billiton – "Managing Observer" Company-man drilling offshore NE Trinidad on jack-up rig. Drilled to 8300 ft with multiple casing strings using synthetic oil base mud. Ran bi-center bit for one section of hole.
FEX LP (Talisman Energy Alaska, USA Affiliate), Jan 2007 – May 2007
Alaska North Slope, USA – Remote Tundra Exploration Well. Involved in plan & supervised well site operations in 10,300 ft deep, sour, mostly technically demanding well, with brine-polymer mud. This included some ice road and ice pad lease construction, then MIRU over tundra trails, drilling to TD, RDMO, cleanup of ice pad. This involved overseeing contractors and service people totaling 40–150 men.

New York, USA - Planned & supervised well site operations in mostly deep, critical sour foothills areas to 14,000 ft., mostly technically challenging, with air and brine-polymer mud. Drilled directional and horizontal. Also supervised drilling shallow gas wells to 2850 ft. This included some lease construction.
Talisman Energy, Nov 1994 - Aug 2003 / June 2004 - Present
Canada, Western and Eastern. Planned & supervised well site operations in mostly deep, critical sour foothills areas to 4200 m., mostly technically challenging. Drilled directional and horizontal re-entries. Drilled coal bed methane wells. This included some lease construction. Drilled Ontario; Offshore Lake Erie on floating drilling barge, and land drilling rig.. Also drilled in Quebec, similar to Ontario Land Operation. I was involved with drilling Pacesetter wells in most of these regions. Worked as Drilling Field Superintendent on jack-up rig offshore NE Trinidad.

Eastern Canada, Southern Ontario. Planned & supervised well site operations of directional land wells using brine. This involved well planning, site and road construction, rig moves, drilling, and completions.

Trinmar Limited, Jan 1997 - Dec 1997
Trinidad, Soldado area. Planned & supervised offshore jack-up drilling rig operations on oil and gas wells to 9800 feet. These wells were in an older field with many challenges including high pressures, sloughing gumbo, and lost circulation in mostly unconsolidated formations. Utilized high solids mud to safely drill many Pacesetter wells.

Western Canada. Provost through to Worsely areas wells to 2500 m. Supervised wellsite operations of directional wells and lease construction. Solved sloughing, kicking, and stuck pipe situations.
