I am a highly motivated & adaptable materials/ logistics specialist with a thorough knowledge of all disciplines within material acquisitioning, inventory management and material logistics. My experiences have included responsibilities of high value projects mainly with in the drilling industry; I also have experience of Construction, Pipe yard, On/Off shore support of International projects.

* A thorough knowledge of materials acquisitions, supplier contracts, inventory management and material logistics.
* Direct/manage material handling operations at supply base, loading/offloading of supply vessels, shifting and stacking of oil field equipment.
* Control material handling work force to achieve maximum utilization of manpower/equivalent in cost effective manner.
* Ensure availability of manpower/equipment/lifting equipment for performance of material handling operations for an uninterrupted service within the supply base.
* Ability to resolve material-handling issues technically and within Company/HSE guidelines and ensure its effectiveness.
* Coordinate with preparation of division's annual budget and forecast future requirements.
* Liaison with other divisions/sections/sub-contractors to ensure provision of services is timely provided.
* Submit reports as necessary and update base operations manager.
* Implement and monitor company's health, safety, environment and quality management system

May 2005 - Current Materials & Logistics Coordinator First Drill Ltd/Northern Petroleum

Working on a short term contract for two exploration wells on the Isle of Wight. Responsible for directing & coordinating all movement of project materials, equipment & personnel from origin to the Island, with in established procedures, schedules and budgets. The overseeing of materials acquisitions, supplier contracts and inventory management.

Procurement for UK and overseas projects together with maintaining all production/maintenance equipment & spares within all of Air Products sites around the world.

August 2002 –August 2003 Sabbatical leave on a Personal Project

Sabbatical leave to oversee House Build in Cape Town South Africa

May 2002 – July 2002 Logistics Supervisor Norsk HydroSA/Sonangol.Angola.

Responsible for all Material & Logistics requirements for Sonangol's exploration well in block 34. Management of their Pipe Yard at Sonils base, supervision of loading/unloading of supply vessels. Coordinating with Service Company's to ensure that all equipment / material were available on time and met with company requirements. Reporting to Drilling Supervisor & Drilling Supply manager.

April 2002 – May 2002 Logistics Supervisor Cabinda Gulf Oil Co.Ltd Angola.

Coordinated all drilling materials and supply vessels for Chevron Texaco's exploration well in block 22. Management of Pipe yard at Sonils base together with completion of all manifests etc... Also liaised with all service company's regarding rental equipment / bulks & those were available on time.
Reporting to Drilling Supervisor.

August 2001 - March 2002 Materials & Logistics Supervisor B.H.P. Petroleum Angola Inc.

Co-ordinated & negotiation of contracts & tenders for the charter of supply vessels / helicopters for an exploration well in block 21. Planning, organizing & control of all logistical activities associated with transportation, customs and material management in Angola. Implementation of personnel, materials & equipment, along with shipping policies & procedures. Monitoring the performance of supply vessels contactor's & BHP pipe yard to ensure all obligations are met. Co-ordinated all vessels movements, personnel, drilling materials, spare parts & supplies to and from drilling rigs. Ensured the safe operations & maintenance of all equipment with in Company HSE Policy & code of practice. Reporting to Drilling -supervisor.

To oversee & control shipping & transportation of personnel, spare parts & drilling materials from Luanda to offshore drilling rigs, management of BP's pipe yard Sonils base. Preparation of manifests, co-ordinate of supply vessels and all on -shore related logistics matters for the base while supporting on-going drilling operations in blocks 18 & 31. Liaison with Air Operations for personnel movements etc.. Deputise for materials manager as and when required, Training & development of local personnel, reporting to Materials & Logistics Manager.
