Current responsibilities:
Presently working for a major SABIC company in Saudi Arabia. Currently responsible for Operation and Maintenance and power distribution of the entire electrical network of the Plant. Equipments handled include 230 kV cables, 230 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, 150 MVA transformers, 34.5 kV, 4.16 kV vacuum breakers, Variable Speed Drives, HV/LV motors and downstream LV distribution network.

Responsible for commissioning, operation and preventive/breakdown maintenance of 230 kV Gas Insulated Switchgear, transformers upto 150 MVA, 34.5 kV, 6.6 kV and 4.16 kV switchgear comprising of vacuum breakers controlled by the state-of-the-art Switchbay Control Unit (SCU), and AC/DC distribution boards. Involved in system protection / commissioning of ABB and Siemens make static and microprocessor relays for high voltage networks. Also involved in Project Management, inspection at vendors' works, commissioning and O&M of UPS, battery chargers and low voltage distribution system.
Frame 6 Gas Turbine Generators, Mark IV system
Associated right from bid evaluation, vendor-drawing review, erection at site up to complete commissioning, operation and maintenance of 2x30 MW Gas Turbine Generator units. Thoroughly at ease with operation of GEC's Mark IV panel, including startup and shutdown operations in both NG and HFHSD modes, black-start operations, brushless excitation and Auto/Manual voltage regulator control. Played an important role in executing modifications to existing scheme.
Protection, VSDs, SCADA, Control/Automation, Specialized Motors for Oil & Gas Industry
Commissioned ABB and Siemens make static and microprocessor-based relays for entire power distribution network. Involved in designing Emergency Load Shedding scheme for the complex through SCADA. Commissioned ABB's Advant Controller 450, 110 and S/800 series Programmable Logic Controllers. Having extensive experience with various types of motors related to Oil & Gas industry, like explosion-proof, intrinsically safe, non-sparking and pressurized motors. Also well-versed in Operation and Maintenance of Variable Speed Drives (VSDs).
Vendor-drawing / Specification review, Equipment Inspection and Expediting:
As part of the Projects Team for Reliance Petroleum Limited for their oil refinery at Jamnagar, was involved in all stages of basic and detailed engineering including vendor-drawing and specification review, technical bid-evaluation, expediting drawings/documentation from consultants, equipment inspection at vendors' works and follow-up with various vendors / sub-contractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and completion of project as per laid down specifications.

Conversant with various packages like MS Excel, MS Word, MS Projects, MS Access, Power Point, etc. Having extensive experience in Preventive and Breakdown Maintenance Scheduling using packages like MS Projects for job planning and progress monitoring and SAP R/4 for creation of notifications, control of spares and inventory, etc. Was extensively involved in providing technical support as a lead Engineer of the Projects team for greenfield petrochemical, power and refinery projects of Reliance group.
