I have been employed by Shell Todd Oil Services (STOS) since 1983. The first six years with STOS were spent rotating between Maui Production station and the Maui A and B Platforms as Mechanical Fitter. Then in 1989 I was promoted to Offshore Maintenance Co-Ordinator, which was followed by Maui Production Station Mechanical Foreman.
I was then cross-posted to an overseas assignment of four years (1994 to 1998) with Syria Shell Petroleum at the Omar Gas Plant where I gained experience working with a multi-national work force as Mechanical Section Head.
On returning from this role and over the last five years I spent time as Operations Support Engineer prior to been assigned to the Maui Production Station in the position as Production Team Leader, leading a multi disciplined team (Mech/Elect/Inst/Operations) at a plant processing Gas, Condensate, Naphtha and LPG.
Over the last 2 years I have been promoted to an offshore position as (OIM) Offshore Installation Manager. This job involves total responsibility for the operation and maintenance activities on board, liaising with all staff and contractors. Ensuring all HSE critical activities are managed, and production targets are met.
I enjoy the challenges associated with the teamwork environment and wish to continue in this field where the skills and knowledge I have gained can be used to the best advantage.
