All Around Expertise and Achievements:

- As a Logistics of Operations Coordinator, I was responsible for monitoring the crude flow reception at La Salina terminal (Lake Maracaibo). My task was to ensure that the crude was in place and under specification, in order to load for export approx. 23 tankers/cargoes of different API crude, per month.

- As a charterer I was responsible for all operational, administrative and commercial aspects of logistics for Exxon-Lagoven´s crude oil operations. My mission was to ensure that the ideal or close to ideal tanker, would be right on its window, in order to pick and deliver the crude oil cargo, according to schedule. I was at all times the contact person between Production and STT. One special personal achievement I can recall from those days, was leading the group that shipped the first ever Orimulsion (emulsified bitumen crude) cargo for export to Osaka Japan. Later on I personally leaded the training of the personnel at Bitor that took on this project.

- When in charged of the Amuay, Citgo, Veba Oel, Operations, Supply and Logistics system, I was responsible for handling with my group the optimum run (crude slate) of the Amuay Refinery, using PIMS, plus all the coordination in order to properly supply PDVSA´s crude share, either from our own system or by going out to the spot market, in order to acquire an alternate quality crude or feed stock.

- On the commercial side, I was a trader for crude oil and refined products and formed part of several teams that drafted and revised numerous contracts. At PDVSA, the first Orimulsion deal with Misubishi, a deal to acquire the Bahamas Oil Terminal, from Chevron. The appraisal and later purchase of 50% of the Chalmette refinery for Cerro Negro and a deal with Petrobras to build and operate an asphalt refinery in the northeast of Brazil, to name some.

- At Mobil oil Venezuela, my responsibilities ranged all the way from leading the team that started The whole process of purchasing, remodeling and building the new gas stations, to being in charge of the relations with PDVSA Faja (Cerro Negro ), drafting all the agreements with local Government and communities for the construction of the Central Production Facility (CPF) at Cerro Negro Field, including all the initial security set up for operations, ranging from the first day of drilling to the opening of operations, with all personnel incorporated, including expats and their families.

- At Cerro Negro, I was also responsible for all the initial setup and follow through with PDVSA/PEQIVEN, in order to begin the construction of the "Upgrading" facilities at Jose, (including the execution of the pipeline Cerro Negro /Jose 65 miles). During all that process I participated actively, attending Cerro Negro´s BOD meetings.
