I was hired through Temp Serv, a temporary service agency, as a drilling consultant. I watch over six different drilling rigs. I am responsible for all operations performed on the rigs, from start to finish. I have worked in several different areas of California. My pay is $850.00 per day plus expenses.

I was a directional driller. I trained for three months, on several different rigs, in many different locations. Afterwards I was released to directional drill unsupervised for the remainder of my time there. I never missed a target or hit another well in my entire time there. I was paid on a per well basis of $1040.00 per well. I averaged drilling one well per day. My company truck broke down and I was terminated for being late to a location.

I was in a supervisory position as the head driller and an assistant tool pusher. Responsibilities included ordering and picking up supplies, doing all paperwork pertaining to payroll, hiring and firing my rig hands and teaching those hands that were new to the oil field. I was responsible for making sure that every phase of the drilling met with the strict OSHA requirements that had been implemented. My starting pay was $21.50 per hour. My ending pay was $6500.00 per month. All the oil companies are moving out of the area we lived in. Started as a stocker, sacker, and cashier, was promoted to frozen food and dairy manager, and shortly there after promoted to an assistant manager. I was responsible for making out all schedules, hiring and firing, and training. My starting wage was 3.35 per hr. My ending wage was 800.00 every two weeks. I left because I moved to Abilene.
Extra Training
While in the oilfield I have attained skills such as electrical, plumbing, welding, cutting, and mechanicing, and have become proficient in al of them. I've had first aid training, BOP training "Blow Out Prevention", "STOP" safety training, and hazardous material training. I was in charge of between 3 and 11 men per rig.
I did the hiring, firing, and training. I was also responsible for the transportation to and from the rig.
While at M System I gained skills in customer relations, sales, warehouse, and management. I used cash registers, adding machines, and ordering machines.

Notes:
I have been in the oilfield for 20 years. For the years 2004-2006 out of 568 drillers in West Texas I was ranked as one of the top three drillers.
I am a very confident and self reliant person. I'm a self starter, I learn fast, I can follow directions or run with the ball if needed.
I am looking for a career, not just a job.
