ISLEBURN STRUCTURAL STEEL SERVICES 1999-2004
Within a four year apprenticeship as a fabricator welder with Isleburn Structural Steel Services,I gained experience in reading C.A.D.drawings, fabrication,measuring, and marking out,gas cutting, profile burning, and the making of templates for profile burning and working with Different grades of steel. I also gained experience in the operation of punches, mandrills, manual Metal arc, welding, guillotine fork lifts, over-head cranes,still saws, band saws, rolling, press brakes,
Pillar drills and plasma cutting.Alongside my apprenticeship, I attended Inverness College on a day Release programme where I achieved anSQV Level 3 in Engineering, HNC unit in mathematics For Engineering. SVQ Level 1 in mig welding and an abrasive wheel ticket. As a result of an in House training programme within Isleburn, I also attained a health and safety certificate in Signalling and Slinging.
E&L FABRICATION LTD. - JUNE2004-JANUARY 2005
Within my line of work for the above named company, I fabricated and welded pipe baskets, spooler Units and filter frames to DNV standards for use offshore.

From January 2005,I gained experience in the cutting and full pen notching of heavy beam, channel, angel bar, heavy, cutting shaping and bevelling of structural pipe up to 36", using, levels, pipe centre finders, tape measures, templates, hand gas cutters, track machines and monkey cutters. Working on the fabrication of pumping units, conductor guide rails, the fabrication and pipe fitting of new oil rig access platforms and pipe fitting and fabrication for the Rhum BP sub sea manifold.

Whilst employed at C.P.S. I worked on the fabrication of accommodation modules for offshore,
Conductor guide clamps, pipe baskets, new crane booms rests And new decks for oil rigs. I have also worked for CPS in Singapore the North Sea and in Holland offshore. on the Installation of the M I SWACKO mud pumping systems in the fortys field and singapore, where my duties were pipe fitting and Plating, using cenger saws, shack saws and gas meters, chain pulls, presses, come alongs, floggers WD40. the unplanned shut-down of the Forty's field where I changed old valves spooler units and pup-pieces for new And on the k14c were I replaced old spooler and pup pieces for new and worked on the repair of a conductor guide rail using, cenger saws, shack saws, hack saws, air compressed wrenches, WD40, floggers, come alongs, chain pulls, hydraulic presses, pulleys, working with hot and cold work permits, and having tool box talks and health and safety meetings.

I worked in south Wales on the Dragon LNG gas plant for Whessoe. On the jetty gas lines, portable water line and the fire water line. On the gas tanks the finger racks and in the fabrication shop, for the fabrication and fitting of pipe supports, grating panels, pre assembled units, and hand rails, using hand grinders, flame cutting tools, hydraulic presses chain pulls, come alongs and harnesses working with hot and cold work permits and I also attended a abrasive wheel course and had weekly tool box talks and health and safety meetings.
