* Observes and complies with existing company codes, policies, agreements, rules and regulations.
* Conducts regular inspection buildings, facilities, work areas, tools and equipment of the company; observes work methods and procedures of workers to determine unsafe working conditions and practices.

Job Description:

The roughneck is an integral member of the rig floor team lead by the driller. This team physically performs all the standard drilling operation and always involved in service company operation also. In addition to the ability to safety perform manual skills in the highly skilled team environment, it is essential to be able to learn the various procedures which are required to carry out the drilling program. This procedure include establishing the well tripping drill strings, running casing strings, handling BOP stacks and risers, and operating and maintaining the surface mud treatment equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist in preparation to run the drill string
* Assist in preparation to run a cement casing
* Assist in nipping up choke and kill line.
* Prepare and operate pipe-handling equipment as necessary for tripping, making connections, well testing and logging.
* Examine and maintain all floor equipment.
* Maintain a high standard of rig husbandry.
* Conditioning and maintaining greasing/doping of tools on rig floor prior to usage.
* During tripping in the tripping out of pipe, all roughnecks must be around the rotary table to handle the rig tongs, pipe spinner, pipe elevator, chain tong etc.
* Checking of snub lines shackles to make sure all has tie wrap for safety purposes.
* We are responsible for checking the top drive when running up and down, checking all the hoses for just incase hung up around the derrick.
* We make sure the TIW Valve or safety valve at open position at all times just incase the well is kicking.
