ATG Machine Shop Lufkin, Texas October 2008 – April 2009
Started out as helper and became trained to do machine work. Duties included operating CNC milling machines, measuring and cutting metal, and making precision oilfield parts. Job duties included using measurement instruments, dial calibers, scales, and reading blue prints. Job ended due to being laid off.

Ensuring the safety of my crew, running a rig/topdrive, keeping up with the pipe books, overlooking duties that my crew carries out, continuous maintenance of the rig and equipment, making sure time is used effectively, creating a safe atmosphere, and increasing morale with the crew to ensure productivity. Giving pretour meetings, writing job safety analysis reports, showing crew members how to detect safety hazards and avoid what causes them, demonstrating to employees the correct way to use tools, fall protection devices, and other personal protective equipment (PPE).

My job duties were taking care of the mud, mud pumps, solids control equipment, working the board, and pulling in latching pipe. As an Assistant Driller, I gave pre-tour safety meetings, insured the safety of my crew, running the rig, kept up with the pipe books, and oversaw duties that my crew carried out, did continuous maintenance of the rig and equipment, and made sure time was used efficiently. I effectively maintained all my job duties while working during the harsh Wyoming winter weather.

I worked in the deep water division of the company. My job duties were unloading and offloading vessels, assisting the crane operating with the crew, painting, chipping, inspecting, and helping with other departments as needed.
