Objective
I would like to obtain a position working in the international market place as a mechanic or a working supervisor doing fleet maintenance, generator repair or heavy equipment repair.
Qualifications
I have worked in the repair related field for over 23 years. I owned and ran a repair shop for the last 13 years working on both gas and diesel repairs. I managed between 10 to 15 employees year round as well as the day to day operations of the business. I worked in the shop as well as in field repairs. I have worked up on the North Slope in Alaska's oil fields doing on site repairs as well as many other sites around Alaska. I am up to date with the use of the latest diagnostic equipment scan tools and lab scopes. I have used M.P.S.I., SNAPON and O.T.C. scanners doing on board computer repairs. I have done all types of electrical repairs and extensive wiring. I am a self starter and work well without supervision. I am very accustomed to working long hours each day and working until my task is completed. I am a very good problem solver and work well under stressful conditions with others. I worked in a Kuwait in a D.S. maintenance shop for K.B.R. until March of 2004. I then transferred to Iraq to to work in the generator dept. in at Babylon. In April I was made a Forman and was then promoted to acting supervisor for all the coalition sites in June. I in this position was required to aid all the mechanics of the other sites in the repairing and the maintenance all generators as well as the ordering of required parts.
Education
I completed high school then attended Denver Institute of technology in Denver Colorado. This was a two year trade school. It was a gas and diesel technology course with heavy electrical classes. I then attended the University of Alaska; there I took many general education classes with a emphasis in math and science. I have taken numerous trade classes in computer diagnostic, air-conditioning, and fuel injection repairs as well as the use of lab scopes and scan tools. Each year I would try to take 3-5 classes in order to stay current.
Relevant Experience
I have worked as a mechanic for over 23 years. I have worked in both heavy equipment repair as well as more complicated fuel injected computer controlled systems. I have lived and worked In many remote parts of Alaska as well as Iraq and Kuwait and fully know what to expect while working in remote locations as well as other countries. I have spent a great deal on my working time a lead person at my job and have no problem interacting with others.
Work history
2-01-04 to present I went to work for KBR in Kuwait in a D.S. maintenance unit for the United States Army working on light to heavy wheeled vehicles. I did electrical repairs motor installs transmission replacements, fuel injection repairs and on board computer repairs. I was transferred to Iraq at the end of March and at that time I went to work in the generator dept as a mechanic/Forman. I maintained and repaired generators in the range of 5 kw up to 1250 kw prime power units. I order all the required parts for the dept as well as new generators. I set up a maintenance program for all seven sites in the coalition sector and assist in repairs at other locations if the mechanic at that location is unable to complete the required repair. We work on Perkins,Volvo, Cats and Cummins diesels generators.
10-01-91 to 1-31-04 I worked and owned Palmer Repair. I did light and heavy line repair work. I did all types of repairs to include fuel injection, motor replacement, transmission replacement, electrical repairs, and computer systems repairs. I worked on both gas and diesel engines minor and major repairs. I was I.M. certified to test and repair emission systems as well as air-condition repairs. I reprogrammed computers on late model trucks and cars to include both gas and diesel vehicles. I also worked on a variety of different equipment to include generators, and tractors. I have extensive experience with the use of lab scopes in the commission of derivability repairs to include power stroke diesels, 6.5 international diesels, and other manufactures to include Chevy, Dodge, Ford, and International.
02-15-89 to 9-15-91 I worked at R&R Repair in Alaska. I did all types of general repairs on both gas and diesel engines. I did all types of heating and air condition repairs. I did I.M. testing and repairs which includes fuel injection, computer diagnoses and electrical repairs. Most of the work at this shop was light line with a few transmissions and engine overhauls.

I am 42 years of age and in very good health. I am single with no children. I like to travel, I do not smoke or use drugs of any kind.
