PROFILE
* Seven years of experience in oil and gas upstream industry as geophysicist. Currently involved in exploration & development of a deep-water lease in East Coast of India with multiple play/prospect (gas) discovery identified by 15 successful exploratory wells. Excellent skills exhibited in the field of reservoir characterization, reserve estimation, seismic interpretation and strong background in various areas of geophysics including onshore and offshore/deepwater exploration, incorporating well data into seismic maps, structure and stratigraphic analysis and business case evaluation. Possess very strong knowledge of '2D/3D seismic data acquisition and processing (conventional and advanced)' and wireline data that makes effective use of other geoscientific data in reservoir characterization. Facilitates effective teamwork, incorporates effective project management skills and completes projects in a cost conscious and timely manner. * Sailed in 2D and 3D seismic vessels operated by Fugro Geoteam AS (R/V GeoBaltic) and Petroleum Geo Services AS (M/V Ramform Challenger and Ramform Vanguard) as company representative and responsible for onboard seismic data processing QC. Worked extensively on onboard pre-stack seismic data analysis and 2D/3D flow parameterization.
* Carried out hi-resolution 2D seismic profiling in deepwater areas of East Coast of India with Fugro Geoteam AS (R/V GeoBaltic) for gas hydrate detection.
* Actively participated with Veritas DGC, Singapore during data reprocessing flow decision and parameter selection. Acquainted with PaceSetter for velocity analysis. Also abreast with usage of 2D/3D True Amplitude Kirchhoff Pre-STM, Post-Stack Processes like TVSW, TVF, FX-Deconvolution, Spectral Decomposition techniques etc and pre-stack depth imaging solutions.

* Briefly worked on AVO, pre-drill pore-pressure prediction, interpreted wireline logs. Developed programs in C for hydrocarbon reserve estimation based on Monte-Carlo simulation. Actively involved in processing of zero-offset VSP data with Schlumberger Oilfield Services for deepwater wells in East Coast of India. Have in-hand experience in sub-basalt seismic data processing.

* Planning, execution and timely completion of hi-end interpretive processing projects with international contractors.

* Hands on experience in Elastic & Simultaneous Angle Dependent Inversion (Jason Geoscience Workbench V6.2, 7.0) of seismic data. Have in-depth knowledge of advanced technologies like Pre-Stack Full Waveform Inversion, use of Pre-Stack Earth Imaging in Time and Depth along with full suite of conventional seismic data processing technologies.
* Reserve Estimation methodologies using conventional Map and innovative Model based techniques.

* Attended 2-day workshop on deepwater process sedimentology by Prof. G. Shanmugam (Adjunct Professor, University of Texas at Arlington) in Mumbai.

* Trained on reservoir characterization in Jason Geosystems Workbench in three phases for rock property cross-plotting, seismic data inversion techniques using various modules viz., Earth Model Builder, Inver-Trace Plus (P-Impedance Inversion), Rock Trace (Simultaneous Angle-Dependent Inversion), Rock-Physics Modeling, StatMod (Geo-statistical Inversion) etc.

* Actively involved in Pre-stack Full Waveform Inversion project for estimation of rock-properties. Written effective source codes for log blocking and used them for 1-D full-waveform modeling for hi-resolution studies in deepwater field development.
* One week training on SpecDecomp by Landmark for Advanced Stratigraphic interpretation.
* Three weeks training on 3D seismic data processing, Mumbai.
* Two months on-job training on 2D seismic data processing at Veritas DGC, Singapore.
* One week training on AVO analysis and post-stack amplitude inversion by Hampson and Russell Package.
* Three week training on interpretation tools like SeisWorks 2D/3D, PostStack-PAL, SynTool, LogEdit, Z-Map by Landmark Graphics Corp. at Mumbai.
* One week field training on wireline logging and well perforation by Halliburton Logging Services, Assam, India
